Since we can't appreciate what we have by voting competent people to power in Africa, the whites will show us how to do it. If Obama contested an election in Kenya, he would lose to an old man. We forget that the older someone gets the slower he becomes physically and mentally, Nigeria is moving slow (if at all it's moving) today because we have not just old people but incompetent old people in power. Congrats to this young man. Don't disappoint the black race 281 Likes 14 Shares |

Nwa Afo doing great things. As an Igbo man, the Chances of you winning an election in the land of the Caucasians is way higher than in your own country. Way way higher. 162 Likes 4 Shares |

They would abuse Abike Dabiri when ever she points out their nefarious activities abroad. Here she is pointing out laudable achievements. This shows how neutral she is. Congratulations Ezeonu... from his picture, it's unlikely he's ever tasted akpu. Maybe that's why he's just won an election and not a sentence in an Asian jail. 29 Likes 7 Shares

Since I was born and now I'm getting old I have never seen a Northerner go abroad and Excel Even the Muslims from Syria that entered Europe started riots, protest, attacks and beheading a French teacher. 203 Likes 13 Shares |

If he was arrested for drugs, the title would have read this, "Igbo man arrested with drugs in US" but now it's something good, they're calling him a Nigerian. I see this country breaking up into several pieces. This I have seen. 92 Likes 4 Shares |

AuntLaVIV: Ibo Amak….let me not finish it… Seriously though, regardless of ethnicity, it’s always good to counterbalance these types of stories against those like that of (for example) Invictus Obi or Abidemi Rufai. Of course, one difference might be that this dude was likely US-raised, but (speaking from PERSONAL experience) the Nigerian cultural traits of self-ambition, self-assurance, doggedness and determination, even in the face of odds (combined with an appreciation for personal achievement), still runs deep in the diasporic blood. Naija no dey carry last - except here in Nigeria!! > 2 Likes |

So young! He looks old. If his age hadn't been mentioned, I would have thought mid 30s. He's probably grown his beards and mustache to make him look older. This is strange. Texas is a Republican state, a state with no state taxes and without the overbearing regulations that hamper California. It's a miracle he won that ticket as a Democrat. Can it turn Democrat with the continuous inflow of Hispanics to the state? Only the future can tell. 7 Likes |
