Bear with me pls, this might be a long read and I apologise in advance for any grammatical error.

Recently I've had a lot of thinking about my life after school, how I can finally support my family after I graduate this year, I am the first son and the first child in my mom's extended family, so I have a lot of people looking up to me, and we only have one source of income in my family which is my dad, and recently he developed a health condition which affects his eyesight, and that is making his work nearly impossible.
The problem now that I'm facing is that I literally don't know what I want to do after school, normally I've had this notion that I will cross that bridge when I reach there, but now the bridge is so close and I have no idea of how to cross, to make things worse, I saw my result this semester and I failed two courses which will make me to come back for an extension, it makes me sad whenever I think about it, cos my dad will have to continue his risky job (thats even riskier cos of his eyesight) for a year or so
Sad part is that I can't even think of any side job that might be profiting me while in school or any work that I can do without a certificate, my friends aren't giving me anything useful, I wanted to learn graphics design, I'm passionate about editing photo and videos, I also wanted to learn animation back when I was in secondary school, but my parents killed that dream telling me to go for a professional course, back then they were still thinking school is the only answer to being successful, now I regret allowing them to let that passion die.
Right now I need you guys advice if you have any concerning my situation, or if you've being in a similar situation like mine, I need to know how you made it out successfully

I will accept your criticism, advice and whatever piece of info you can share with me

TLDR version; I am a graduating student with extension that can't see any plan for his future and with a lot of expectation on his shoulder, with a dad struggling in his job

Looking at your present condition, to learn pure animation is very expensive. Go for graphic design and my GOD heal your dad

You can google search for animation schools in your state. It could be a lil bit expensive though. Depending on the place. The duration varies, some have 3 months program or 6 or even a year.
It depends on your pocket and how much you want to learn.

Or you could just learn the basics, like a one or three months program then learn more through tutorials on YouTube.

I think u misunderstood me, I want to reduce/cut off the responsibilities on my dad's shoulder, I want to share the burden, I don't want him to stop work and leave the family helpless, that man have tried abeg

Bro invest your little money, while you can... Start selling pure water and cold mineral, there's demand for it now and the comeback is cool, you can make N1200 every day on minerals alone plus 800 on pure water making 2000 every day that's 60,000 per month and 15k per week.
Use your head, if you learn graphics design now how long will it take you to start getting in 2k 3k per jobs maybe once or few times a week considering the financial aspect? Them full nairaland here..

Bro I was once in ur shoes. But I noticed early that u don't need to wait for the future. U dream it exactly how u want it and create one for urself.
U need the following:
1. Self confidence.
2. Self motivation
3. A mentor
4. A target of what who u want to be in life
5. Have a plan and follow it
6. U need discipline, focus. zeal to succeed and never look back.
7. Focus on a few like-minded friends.
8. Leave women now and make money. They will come in numbers when u blow up.
9. Chase profitability (being ur own boss) and not salary (job).

Note: It's not about ur religion, sex, tribe or age, u can succeed legitemately just like me and so many others who came from the slum. Never give up!!!

E no easy my guy, just look for a skill and join body.
Move close to people who are focused in making money and getting the right info on money making.

Honestly its a very sorry situation that an undergraduate who is about to graduate would have such thought. That is how bad this country is. I was in a similar situation too and every blessed day i wake up to the fact that i am graduating soon, my heart skips honestly.. Truth is as far as its in this country, we wake up to having hope but i believe things can turn around one day.. Best advice i can give you is try to make friends who are well connected to an extent , no matter the skill you learn, you need friends to help whatever you gonna do to grow.. I regret not making reasonable friends then but i believe GOD will make a way for you one way or the other..
