Onyeama had said the suspension of Twitter was in the interest of national security and peace. Leaving terrorists, killer Fulani herdsmen, bandits and kidnappers and fighting roforofo fight with Twitter. This administration has no shame. |

Lumig: Exactly. Don't they have better things to do with their time than trying to ensure twitter retains influence and functionality in Nigeria? Why are people so pedestrian in thinking? Did we not survive before twitter? This is how they imported Christianity and Islam to Nigeria and we jettisoned our traditional beliefs to embrace foreign religions that now threatens to tear our nation apart. The mentality of many Africans that "West is best" will ultimately always frustrate our growth. Until we begging to device African solutions to African problems , and shunning the West as a consequence, we are going nowhere and will continue to be 'sheeples' following Western herdsmen like the insufferable Jack Dorsey and co. 1 Like |

heykims: D same FG ban. D same FG began calling foreign diplomats to explain itself. D same FG ban& they are negotiating with Twitter and u call that boldness. Which lesson did Twitter learn? with all d issues bedeviling Nigeria, from inflation, a failing economy, rising unemployment, kidnappings, failing infrastructure, failure on d part of govt to render public service, corruption e.t.c., it is Twitter that u and d govt feels is d most important issue at hand. As we speak, about 200 school kids are still in captivity. Nigeria can't deliver something as simple as passport to it's people and u say nigeria is a sovereign nation. Electricity is still epileptic in many parts of nigeria. So is deleting buharis tweet a more important issue than d business of governance which this govt has failed at delivering? 1 Like |

Una go just open mouth waaahh to spill trash.. Twitter is more than just a social media app,its some people's office,organization..thereby banning them is banning this people of their livelihood |

realteejay: God will bless you ojare. Push comes to shove, Nigerians who are sensible shoukd see the big picture if our adult have the right orientation. We can disagree with the ban of twitter by Buhari but what we must never support is a crew of Western nation coming together to bully Nigeria, as a sovereign nation, to rescind her ban of twitter. That is imperialism and any intelligent Nigerian will see the big picture at stake here. Even disgraceful Nigerian mentally and physically lazy youths are defending twitter so passionately, as if it is a god they will die if they do not worship, yet they don't appreciate how regrettable it is that not one of them can give the world the Nigerian equivalent, or better, of twitter considering we are the biggest black nation on earth. Everything 'imported' continues to relegate our own ability to chart a unique path forward that is directly relevant to our needs and aspirations as Africans yet most Nigerian youths cannot see this. Tragic. 1 Like |

heykims: Which lesson? You think Jack send Buhari and Nigerians?? You people are very funny! What Twitter needs to do to make up for any lose they might incur is to monetize some of there features and that's it. Money will keep rolling in. BUHARI and his Useless fellowers are Cows on a seat. |

Sleekmilan01: Bruv, twitter remains an optional chat and opinion medium regardless of whatever 'add on' it has spawned as a result of its core activity. The point is that twitter is partisan, arbitrary and dictatorial in conduct. They show partiality and favouritism openly. They have moved away from being a neutral referee to becoming an arbiter of right and wrong. Not a fan of Buhari but I support the twitter ban to send a message that sovereign nations cannot be held to ransom by the dictates of individuals controlling social media apps. 1 Like |

Re: FG, Twitter In Talks After Suspension by Nobody: 9:18am On Jun 08, 2021 |
pickatyouu: Why is twitter begging then? If you're not a self-hater and worshipper of the opinion "West is best" then why would you think a social media app is bigger than the biggest black nation on Earth? No fan of Buhari but I fully support the twitter ban. Jack Dorsey is the typical nerdy douchebag who thinks he can now abuse power he hosts currently because of technological/IT success. Successful Nerds are prone to abusing power because, typically, they never had any power over anything or anyone in the past before current technology/IT success. |

Grayoso: A platform that can gather top countries to visit a country with a brain dead leader and tell him to his face that he was wrong with his actions. A platform that doesn't recognize your brain dead president. Say all u want but twitter is bigger than this current government. Don't blame jack for having a Terrorist as a leader. He didn't vote the fool into power, you kind did. And Buhari if he could comprehend properly knew the terms and conditions to abide by but he thinks twitter is like nigeria where he behaves like the fool he is all the time. He has no option than to give twitter their space and allow freedom of expression especially by the oppressed and nothing malami can do about it. Ask el rufai who recently tweeted. 1 Like |
