Ge0grapher: Getting a job is not the problem; getting a job that would qualify for sponsorship and also landing in a company willing to sponsor you, is where the problem lies. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Hello everyone. Please I got an offer to study MBA with Data analytics in the university of Bedfordshire, does anyone have any idea of the school and what to expect? It's a two year course I also got an offer to study International Finance MA in the university of Greenwich, a one year course. The fees for both is actually the same. I'm having a hard time deciding which to go. |

SamReinvented: Most people are not planning on what happens after the two years post study work expires. They don't know you will have to switch to another visa inorder to stay back otherwise you will find your way home. So I really advice that as you are planning for your studies, you should also plan on your options if you want to stay back. Have a backup plan in place. My candid advice. I know very well that with the 2 years psw, you can take up any employment, but make sure you take up employment with a company that can sponsor you after the 2 years psw expires. 1 Like |

maangel01: This is my concern, you spoke my mind But can we start discussing about back up plans. kindly drop any to help. |
Re: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by maangel01: 7:41pm On Jun 12, 2021 |
opomulero: One of the best backup plan is to transition to the Global Talent route where you will be given a 3 or 5 year visa depending on whether you are an expert or promising expert respectively. With the visa, you can work for any employer, self employed or do both without needing any sponsorship. All you need is a sponsorship from one of the government approved bodies. So from this, all you need is to know what is required for the endorsements and start preparing it. If it means learning an additional skill, you do so while you are still studying for your degree. My candid advice. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

maangel01: The good part is that after the 3 years or 5 years, you can either extend it for another 3 or 5 years or you apply for ILR (permanent residency). If you live for one year as a permanent residency, you are eligible to apply for citizenship. 4 Likes 1 Share |
