Thanks . Please what of Hungary ? How much bank statement do I need as self sponsored ? Is it a good place compared to Poland

To the best of my knowledge, you will fit in appropriately in Poland than in Hungary. Their government (Hungarian government) are anti-African, anti-immigration and filled with fascist.

I will stick to Poland if I were to be you. Nothing is in Hungary to be honest. You have more prospects in everything when in Poland than in Hungary.

You don't have to be confused.

Well, it depends on how you prepare yourself. It is important that you get the documents ready before booking an appointment; But make sure that you secure an appointment date within that same month when you receive the documents. This is because you have to submit the most recent Pay Slips and Certificate of Employment.

So imagine you get the documents this month which is June and you couldn't book an appointment till August. That means you will need to get an additional pay slip for July which is the most recent.

But if you sponsor is within your reach and he can easy prepare the documents with a day or two, then you can wait till you book an appointment before you get the documents.

So decide on what's best for you. Also note that you will be given 2 additional weeks to provide any additional documents should in case you unable to submit all on your submission date.

I hope this helps.

Hello, so sorry I’m quoting this particular message.
I want to ask, can I get financial documents from my sponsor and keep?
I just got admission and I paid tuition today, can I get the payslip and employment letter ready before calling for visa date?
Or I need to get a date first before getting the document?.
I’m confused.

Please ignore the troll, I appreciate your contribution to the thread. He (jam) is speaking based on speculations and his previous comments shows that he has never visited the Polish embassy. I don’t think he can understand what you’ve said so far as he has problems with comprehension.

Please does anyone here know what to do about authenticating Benin republic documents in Nigeria? My boyfriend can’t travel to Benin so please how do we go about it here? His BSC and Transcript!

Your boyfriend needs to submit his documents for evaluation first before he can use it in Nigeria.

Don’t get me wrong Poland is a good and easy route as well. That’s if u are willing to be persistent of course.
You are a Cameroonian and you are based in Cameroon at the moment so the Nigerian embassy is the only embassy you can apply to.

You can only apply for a polish visa at a polish consul in another country if you have a residence permit in that country showing that you have valid residence in that country.

You can take those documents to the Ministry of Education for Evaluation

But first register on MoE website https://ess.education.gov.ng/#/ and upload the necessary documents, pay the amount specified and go there on the allotted date and time.

I don't think so. It was once said on the thread that West African countries share one Polish embassy which is in Nigeria. Don't worry, your own application would be successful. Just follow the guidelines, cross your T's and dot your İ's. At same given time, back it up with prayers (if Christian or Muslim), all things being equal, your visa application would be successful.

Bro,

How easy it is to evaluate for someone else?
I went to the Federal secretariat today to do the evaluation for a friend but I was told I can't because we share different surname.

When u sort out accomodation add up your tuition fee for a year + accomodation for a year + food + transportation expenses for a year.

That should give you an idea of the amount to start

For Poznań
For cc I will recommend from 5m up
For payslips u need a sponsor who earns from 550k a month n up

Off course, you can.
Don't just take a No and go back.
I saw people apply on others behalf. Today.

Sometimes(on rare occasions) they ignore it but it's better to use different sponsors cos if they scrutinize they'd deny one

That's always the issue. They don't allow it to be done by proxy(Officially). But I've heard it can still be done by proxy if you know one or two people who work there. You can also ask around there; am sure you will find a way.

Don't give up. Give it another shot

Anyone in Poland long enough to answer these questions?

1. Is the academic curriculum one that the average Nigerian who went to Community Secondary School can easily adapt to?

2. Do the tutors take their time to attend to the academic needs of a foreign student?

3. I have been thinking about this, too: Will having good grades from a Polish University afford one the opportunity of switching to a University in Germany?

4. I just read that Poland has the 11th best economy in Europe. Facts aside, does this economy power reflect in the financial well-being of foreign students (Nigerians)?

5. Lastly, to you who has been in Poland and reading this now, has it been worth it?

I haven't been long in Poland but from my observation

1. Anyone can adapt if you're willing to study hard. The courses here are totally different from what you were taught in Nigeria. Talking from experience, I started my MSc in March from Nigeria and it wasn't easy, at some point I almost quit cos the lecturers don't teach, they assume you know it.

2. The lecturers are also flexible. They always schedule seperate meetings for students who maybe have difficulty in their courses.

3. I really can't say.

4. In my city, a foreign student can survive. The cost of living is relatively ok. Plus, as a student you can get a job, part time or full time.

5. It is worth it.

I know some people look down on the country because they feel their economy is not as great as Germany's but it is a great country and if you really want to make a good life for yourself here, you can.

Those who are into IT also make it big time here. There are so many IT related jobs here. If you can also speak English and certain foreign languages, you can easily get maybe a customer rep job.

I've never had issues with racism but I've gotten a lot of stares when I walk on the street, they don't see a lot of black folks esp in town. The people are very reserved, I guess it's the language barrier and their nature.

That being said, everything I've said here is from my experience from my short stay here. Between, my city is Gliwice.
