I would have started this business long time ago and had several outlets but the thought of getting robbed or killed discouraged me. The money is in it according to my people doing it even now that it is everywhere. Cultists are killing and robbing people freely these days, #Endsars protests outcome. Let me stick to my transport business.

That was how my neighbor sister who just finished writing her waec fell a victim on d April 21, inside fasting fa.. 17 yrs old girl for that matter. The man dressed in army uniform and wanted to withdraw 100k.. He made a transfer n msg was sent to the girl but due to the fake army excess hesitation n unease attitude, the little girl was full of frightening n was unable to check if the money added to her acct balance. She gave d fake army 100k n he vamous. Not knowing it was fake alert. By d time she checked her alert, the money was not added to her acct balance. Her sister cry eeh n I pit d woman because she is just a primary sch teacher. People wicked gor this world oo..

This happened too in my area, people using army's uniforms to intimidate inexperienced POS vendors

Download the app on playstore and speak to their customer agent from there.

When they give you the pos, your total transactions reflect on their server that's how they monitor your account activities for the 3 months duration

It used to be a good business as far back as 2015, I did my youth service at Ebuwanna Edda in afikpo south in 2015, and a POS guy at Owutu Edda back then was the only person servicing the whole villages in afikpo south local government. Today it's in every nook and cranny of your environment thereby limiting your profits, not mentioning running into debts as a result of fraudsters constantly patronizing you. I see the business fizzling out, I see large crowds lining up in banks for deposits and withdrawals like old times.

This I have seen.

After reading comments I just realised one guy was once in my office who showed me a fake alert of 40k, maybe he thought I was stupid that I won't check my own side before giving him. And as a smart guy, I don't even use alert to receive value, I only check transaction on my bank mobile app. This guy left and said he will come back(so this is the fake alert people do talk about!! Wow! Have never experience one before)

I'm in students area, just imagine borrowing a female student who was stranded to go school with just 500# and after two weeks the girl keep posting me till I tracked her to her lodge, come and see how I embarrassed her in her lodge that day ehn.

To know more about POS business, contact me privately.

someone do transfer to me I received alert an the person left my office. And I said let me confirm if the transfer is genuine, I quickly rushed to a pos close to me to make a withdrawal, but tried several times to take money but to no avail. It was just saying issue in operative. I was just sweating profusely, I just remember that I have a Gtb app on my phone.
When I logged in behold the money was there intact.

Yes I would like to go into the business, more guide lines would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Anyway, someone opened very close to them, e no reach 1 month, the person close shop. I guess I am not the only one that decided to stick to them, even when they don’t open early. lipsrsealed

go for opay and firstmonie/wema bank pos. Very good network. Truth is , there is no terminal that won't experience Network glitches, but some are just too often. Avoid kudi and kolomonie as much as you can

there is no business without risks, even provision shops in some areas gets robbed. Find good location (areas close to police station are the best), pay your local vigilante, open by 7:30am and close by 5:30-6:00pm, Don't take money home, put good key in your shop, be vigilant. Above all, pray

A friend narrated this scam that was used on them and i thought to share.

A well-spoken elderly lady came to withdraw 85,000 naira. The amount was typed into the terminal and given to her to enter her PIN. She acted like she was adjusting her glasses and moved a distance to enter her PIN due to what the operator thought was too much sun glare.

Unknowingly, the lady cleared the amount entered initially , changed it to 8,500 naira, entered her PIN and returned the terminal. The POS operator did not look at the receipt and gave the woman 85,000 naira.

A lot of scammers see POS operators as easy targets for scams which is really terrible considering the slim profit margins. A scam like the above one can wipe out 2 months profit!

I hope they caught the useless thief

y dear you are on point.
If u no understand wat's involve in business,
pls don't even try to do it.
In Business, u must gain n lose.

My Goody
The truth is that i don't lack transport to work, offering n bottle of water daily

Bad.
Debtor n bagger refused to patronize neither refund the debt, in fact they will even turn ur enemy.

Urgly.
I thank God for my small smart sale girl,
a man came n claimed that i sent him to collect moni,
he even dialed diff no., pretended to call me n told my girl
to talk with her boss (me) n d girl told him, tel my oga to call my line.
wen d girl strted to raise her voice, d man ran. it happened 2x.
Also, a customer withdraws 2k once, according to him he got an alert 3x of 2k, 2k n 4k.
We battle to our diff banks till the point d guy brought bad boys to my shop,
at the end, i lost 6k 2dem 4peace 2rain.
But am still on biz, even have more outlets...
thank you. There will be losses and gains. My sales boy did transfer of 2k to someone, it showed failed, he didn't confirm from me before repeating the transaction again. Both were successful on my app and the guy claimed he only received it once, that was how I lost 2k.

Another time, I transferred 3k to someone, after 2days, the person claimed to not see the transfer and I re-did the transfer. I contacted my customer care but was told the money have been delivered to her account. Till date, aunty denied the issue, wanted to follow her to her bank but I was really busy at work then

I also imputed 4k instead of 40k. I paid the lady 40k of which I only withdraw 4k from her account but thankfully, she returned the money without 30mins. I couldn't thank her enough.

Despite all these challenge (which I haven't had in a long time), I make up to 100k-120k monthly. My salary is just 49k monthly, so I can't leave, I have never experienced any robbery attack cause I am close to station and we have vigilante but I know it has been God all through.

This is my third month and God has been faithful. But something I also did, I changed my terminal from kudi to opay and wema bank terminal. If one terminal is always giving you issues, stop managing, kindly go for better options

I never knew there were going to be turn ups like this. thanks to those that contributed their quota, your input has saved a lot of people from incuring debts.

Tomorrow I'll be giving out tips, advice and things to look out for, to those intending to be a vendor.

To other experienced vendors, your contribution will be highly appreciated.

I'm enjoying the stories as well

But on the other side.....I heard Yahoo boys have started opening Pos outlets for their babes so as to snap the details of Customers cards.

That's why I'm a bit skeptical about all these road side Pos agents

don't, you will regret it in the long run. They always have network issues, debiting customers without paying, transfer deposit is very slow. People will tell you kudi have good customer care but what exactly should I do with your unending apologies? If your are not careful, customers will fight you
