Let you spouse write to the local authorities in his county or province to help expedite the process...this very long waiting is crazy...let it not be that someone is just been lazy and causing you unnecessary delay.

Can't wait too. I applied 15th May and medicals were updated to passed 19th for spouse and 2 older kids who had medicals for their study permit. For the youngest, we applied for visitor visa because of age. Biometric also updated same day it was completed for my spouse same day while all three kids need no biometric due to their age.

I have one suggestion. Let your spouse start process of getting the full Covid-19 vaccine in Nigeria before travel time. That may save you guys up to $2,000 in quarantine costs.

Does anyone know if kids aged 8 years and 13 years can get the vaccine yet in Nigeria? Although this would only be a consideration if the travel policy updates per full vaccination exception from quarantine applies to kids of that age range.

Good morning people!!!

I recently received a positive response on my student visa application. Now I want my husband and first child to apply for Canadian visa (my other 2 kids are US citizens and do not require a visa) the challenge is most people here are applying for work permit for their spouse but what I actually want is a visitors visa because my husband cannot afford to quit his job anytime soon

I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction of what steps to take. Ie should he apply on his own (considering that he is sponsoring me) or should I make the application under my gckey?

Please has anyone been in this situation and how did you tackle it or are you tackling it?

Honestly CIC is very complex one cannot even understand how they reason...why is dere processing week guide self.

It does two things, one it hastens your application if you are qualified to enter Canada this covid period and two it gives you authorization if you are not qualified but can come to Canada based on job description and family ties.

Please I have a question that requires an urgent clarification.

My wife newly received a study visa approval, and myself and the children wish to travel to Canada as soon as possible. In fact, we plan to put in the application by next week. She is still in Nigeria and planning to travel in August for the fall intake. I plan to apply for SOWP, while the children will apply for study visas.

Meanwhile, in filling the family information form, she had indicated that no family member would accompany her to Canada. She had stated thus in order to use me and the children as home ties.

Now the question is: if the rest family members now apply to join her in Canada, would IRCC not consider this as amounting to misrepresentation? Could IRCC use the information in her family information form against us?

Do we have people here who had stated similar thing in their family information form, yet still got SOWP for the spouse and study visas for children?

Please do help a family!

Amen o. I think the approach now is to first write the authorization letter, get a positive response before submitting the application. Because application in recent times gets biometrics and medicals passed within 2 weeks. Let's hope for the best in all.

Guys how long does it take for IRCC to get back to you on request for written authorization? Hubby's own has been in since April 21st, no response. Application submitted March 15, upfront medicals updated May 19th. Since then nothing.

No ....ur uci no will link both and I don't think it will be favorable
The only application u can have running together is to be in express entry pool and have normal TRV application running.
