Splitmind:

They should suspend it, this site has been infiltrated by smelly IPOB miscreants and other critics of the presidency.

To save Nigeria and protect free speech nationwide we should petition the government to ban nairaland and all social media in Nigeria.

Who split your mind?

Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland was down for two hours due to a minor miscommunication with our host that was related to copyright infringement.

It shouldn't have taken as long as 2 hours to restore Nairaland, but it took a while for us figure out exactly what to do because it hadn't happened before, and we also had to wait for our host's support team to restore us fully after taking the necessary steps.

We are sorry for this inconvenience.

We know that keeping Nairaland working is especially important in this terrifying political climate, and we take it very seriously. Nigerians need a platform that they can use to share their views freely with each other. We believe that Nairaland is that platform.

Best Regards,
Seun Osewa.
Did you say freely? I doubt you mean it because some of your moderators here do not allow us to express ourselves freely (without insulting anyone). Also you banned the word "crow we", why? Why not ban the word "twitter" as well?. We may not like the people behind it but let's hear them out at least.

One reason why african won't develop,
always complacent with old glories,
do u know nairaland started a year after Fb was founded and Nairaland was founded before Twitter, compare and contrast these platforms to each other.

I'm a web developer and a UI/UX designer.

There is still a lot of features missing on Nairaland even if it's just a forum.
but what do i know.

maybe I'm gonna buy Nairaland oneday and furnish it to my taste.

Seun, if you like yourself, Nairaland and free-speech, take this advice seriously.

I suspect the same too. When Lai was making the twitter and other social media registration announcement, my mind went to nairaland. I hope they don't touch it but also wish the owner will reform this platform to be more civil and clean out fake news.

If it was Twitter or Facebook that went offline for 2 hours ehh, a lot for don happen sad sad. I hope it won't happen again. 2 hours is just too crazy for a serious website to go offline without an official announcement.

I thank you for the good work you are doing via this platform. May you continue to grow from strenght to strenght .However, over my 10 years plus experience on nairaland, I 've observed that things are getting bad especially on the AUTO SECTION.Lots of dealers are no longer interested in displaying tgeir advert for fear of been insulted by people I call internet rats.....They 've nothing meaningful going on for them here...but they 've fund to buy data to derail people's advert. Is getting out if hand ...that Is why I am appealing to you to treat them in a language they understand ....suspend them finally ...I am tired of using the report botton ...they are like cancer ...they kept changing moniker for same Purpose of derailing people's thread. The only crime we committed was bringing to nairaland our cars....we don't manufacture cars..,we simply buy and resell. Some of this people insulting us won't even sell at cheaper rate to us when we approach them ...but they are here insulting us ...calling us all kind of names ...I would 've ended all this by myself but all this internet rats don't have identity nor where to trace them. I know how to make people like that mind their business.

Sir , act now ...you have the weapon to remove this guys .
