if u are in ph, lagos, ogun or abuja processing- nin is compulsory and as such the names on nin must correlate with that on passprt.

u go with them the day u are going to capture/interview. Sometimes for diy they need u to come in before tht day to submit ur documents. Just check with the centre basically. Pls dnt do like jjc

go back online! U need to activate ur payment with the verification/validation code on ur bank receipt. Log back into ur application so u can print ur receipts et al.
Pls dnt be lazy, read few pages back u will see documents for fresh passport and those for renewal. Or go onto the immigration website. It is all written down there

Lol. According to the guy, the woman collected 35k and told him to come back in 6 weeks time and also pay 10k for production.
Do you know what it means? It means collecting money from you at higher price but following the same process you would’ve followed if you diy. Here, the guy is the mugu and not the woman.

the only place u can renew wit NIN is Lagos Abuja and port Harcourt. You use d old pp name and renew in any state apart 4rm dis three state

I'm based in Lagos.
And i could only consider delta for this, but I dont have a spare time.

Desperation cause them to be collecting money from you guys. For example I apply for a change of name of my driver license, one official bill me 10k and said it will be out fast fast and I insist instead DIY, though it's not out but I don't care because I don't need it urgently. Don't apply when you need it urgently, apply several months before you need it so that by the time they finish there paparazzi u will get it at last and spend less. Point of advise

If it is, should we suggest any effective alternative to prevent others from going through this experience?

I spoke to several immigration officers and none of them could guarantee to deliver in less than a week. One of them referred me to the express center in maitama abuja.

The crowd there was terrible! And their capacity was about 150 persons a day or so. After 2 days of hanging around, i was finally able to get in. I was captured and 3 hours later i picked up my passport.

For those who desperately need pp and cant wait for the standard 6 weeks, express center is available.

Just pay the N26k online and attach your documents. Select maitama abuja as location for capture. You will need the payment printout to gain entry. Prepare your heart for the huge crowd you will meet. But once you get in and captured, you will definitely get your passport in less than 24 hours.

I forgot to add that you will pay N30,000 before capture (express fee). You can only pay with card so go with your atm card.
So total is N56000.

then do name correction om ur nin. It is 500 naira. Do it to add the middle name.
Go onto remita. Pay d 500 naira to nimc. Print off tbe receipt.
Go along with another official document with the 3 names, receipt of paymnt, application letter to nimc office, sworn affidavit for name
Once u change d name, u will be given a new slip with the new name. U shud be able to den donur pot in lagos. Start now!!

pls chevk this thread.. some ppl faced this payment problm. They were able to reach out to nis who sorted it out... they were then told to proceed to NIS office as the issue had been sorted
