Stanbic has debited me and returned the upfront payment. But I'm yet to get the TB Advice Notification email. Did 5m for 365 days and got upfront payment of about 449k. Anyone know what the rate could be with this? Mills55: |

QuinModah: You will get N175 everyday till the end of June after which you will get a dividend or you can reinvest your dividend which is what I always do. N175 everyday is N63,800 in a year. Since rates are increasing you should be able to get up to 75k in a year. 5 Likes |

QuinModah: No, you will get more than that; at the current rate you get 63,900 and by every indication the way rates are going you will still get more. Rates for MMF are daily valued and not static. In addition, you will be paid the interest quarterly and that interest can still be reinvested, on the long run with the principle of compound interest you have close to 8% or more of your capital. 3 Likes |

QuinModah:As at now you will get about sixty four at the end of the year. But the beauty of The Abacus money market fund is that the ROI is not fixed unlike VGIF that has a fixed return. We believe the rate will be more than this in the coming weeks. So as it stands now the probability of you getting more than that at the end of the year is actually High. 1 Like

Good evening investment gurus, I’m a novice here but willing to learn the ropes of treasury bills. I’ve never done it before and have limited information. I need info regarding lowest amount to begin with and how to go about it generally while I get used to it. Looking forward to replies. Thank you. 2 Likes |

Also, what’s the best way to save in dollars. I learnt so far that Dom accts offered by Nigerian banks aren’t really friendly in terms of stack differences between inflow exc rates to that of outflow rates. So how else to save in dollars? |
