That's what they do, they gin up so much fake outrage, make their base angry and the money starts coming in. But they know they are lying and devoid of reality. I believe it was not so much of a problem pre Obama. Before Obama Republicans and Democrats worked together in the interest of the country. During Obama, the legislature became highly polarized along party lines which also reflected in the mood of the country. Then Trump came and moved it several notches. Now there is nothing like bipartisanship. If one party proposes a bill, the other automatically opposes no matter how beneficial the bill is to the whole country. Trump was virtually ruling by executive orders. Same with Biden for now. I doubt any bill can pass through the legislature and be approved by the president.
