I served in Ijawland. You can hardly see an Ijaw family without Igbo ancestry. This is why it is astounding how hard they're working to divide the East. Personally, I often get angry hearing Kanu wanting to include other tribes in Igbo exit, but with the benefit of hindsight, you cannot but see reasons with him.

Ibibio, Annang and Efik all migrated from Arochukwu. Traditionally and ancestrally, Igbo has strong bonds with most of these people. It is that bond that the FG and Yoruba people are working very hard to destroy of at least sever.

You can hear a man like Wike saying that Ikwerre are from Benin. Not just him, but many Igbo sub-groups. What they failed to understand is that your culture is your identity. Maybe they are aware, but want to conform to the Igbo hating Nigeria.

The claims of Benin origin stems from ancient Igbo clans that border the Benin empire migrating a way from the expanding Benin kingdom at its peak. Some of the peripheral Igbo communities moved away from the rampaging Benin army as the kingdom expanded and crossed the Niger. These movements formed the folklore that some of their uninformed descendants hang on to claim Benin. You're from Benin but your physical features and culture is Igbo?

I'm happy that the Benin kingdom has put them in their place by telling the Ikwerre that there is no evidence that they're Bini. So if Ikwerre is not Igbo and not Bini, did they fall from the sky too?

Anyway, my stance on Biafra is still that it should be only Igbo, but with a sense of history, I believe that some southernmost tribes deserve the same destiny with Igbo, especially those that share similar history and ancestry. Anikko Briggs recently stated that Ijaw and Igbo share blood ties, but even the Ijaw must prove that charting a similar course with Igbo is their sincer desire. Otherwise, an Only Igbo nation should be our focus.

There are no Igbos in the Niger Delta.
Igbos should keep their entire focus on 5 states solution and make it great to the envy of all.
Global developers, it's time to develop Igbo nation.

The Igbos you see in ijawland are married women. Don't mistook that by saying or summarising that Ijaws are Igbos we are not.
I am not Ikwerre or any other part and I can't speak for them, but when you say there is an Ibo ancestry in Ijaw land you are trying to hide the truth.

Good luck to Biafra.

You're right. The right word that I should have used is maternal affinity and not ancestry. In fact, it's nearly impossible to see a prominent Ijaw family that doesn't have an Igbo wife, mother or grand-mother. Ijaw men, especially the well-to-do ones have been marrying Igbo women for ages.

Why? Was the Republic of Biafra that Ojukwu led restricted to the South East? Are you aware that the last President of Biafra, General Philip Effiong, was not even from where you are calling South East?

After all these...the ìgbos were able to secure a referendum, that is when u will see other tribes indicating their interests in joining Biafra...just watch and see...they may be forming Niger delta for now because they are afraid to fight Nigeria like the fearless Igbo's...they don't want to loose the crumbs they are getting for now..they are just sitting in between the fence in case if òr if not...Niger deltans should know that nothing good comes easy...if the Igbo's drop their agitation today the west will drop theirs asap...when referendum comes u can chose to stay in Nigeria if u wish..Biafra does ñot force any tribe on itself..
