You are not supposed to be fasting if you are sick, and if it happens in the middle of the fast, you are suppose to stop. It doesn’t mean that your fast will spoil, you will just continue from where you stop, whenever you’re better.

I am a Christian and a doctor, definitely not in church right now as I type this. Having spent more time within the walls of schools over at least 3 decades, also a lesser significant of that same in church. Read a lot more books as well as good knowledge of the Bible as well as the understanding of faith.

I will combine both and tell you with discretion "It is only the living that can fast"

Stop the fasting and treat yourself. When you are healthy, there will be many more days to observe fasting, God is not a wicked God.

A fast is a sacrifice in the quest to seeking God. Do everything to engage with God including your wellness.

Faith is cooperating with the Word. So you have your part to play to ensure you are healthy enough to serve God.

Your fasting is commendable. However no amount of fasting would be greater than what Jesus has already done on your behalf.
So I would advice you to treat yourself first,
then resume your fasting when you get better.

If you die, would the fast be relevant?

if you are sick , you shouldnt be fasting , you are not useful to God in your grave and likewise your miracle that you are praying for will be pointless and useless if you die or become terribly ill as a result of the fasting

God gave us a brain for a reason.

It didn't say we should throw away our brains before we can be right with Him.

If your health is failing, it is common sense to eat, and eat well.

You need to stay hydrated, and you need to boost your immune system to fight the infection.

Otherwise, you will DIE.

So, you need to eat well to stay hydrated, and to nourish your body so that it can heal itself.

Don't tempt the Lord thy God.

Suspend the fasting, and take care of your health.

I remembered when I was an active pastor of a church, a woman breastfeeding was doing dry fasting. The day I got to know, I almost gave her a slap. How can you be fasting when breastfeeding when you know that you have to eat well to produce enough milk for your baby to consume?

How can someone be so stupid? Being religious does not mean you have to throw away your brains. It is the reason why atheists think religious people (especially, Christians and Muslims) are stupid.

The Bible says wisdom is profitable to direct. Faith is good, but faith without wisdom will lead you to your grave.
