Applied May 12. Medicals updated May 17. Submitted an additional document via webform and email 2 days ago, no acknowledgement. No ghost update, nothing. Sigh. |

Hello Zodiacwarrior, UnknownCanadian, JustMellow and anyone familiar with GIC, Can I fund my GIC through Form A? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by fejiromich: 2:49pm On Jun 13, 2021 |
I don’t think so... you have to make a funds transfer from your dorm account to your gic account... the dorm acc has to be in your name MindfulV: |

Frankrobbn1: Bro! It is the new rule causing panic amongst international students. If any international student changes DLI from within Canada, IRCC should be notified and a new SP must be submitted. But, if it is a program change, IRCC doesn't need to be notified as the update will be done through the GcKey account only. This rule was announced sometime around February 23, 2021, and affected in March. Also, on June 9, IRCC did some major updates on its policy and procedures of its visa categories including SP. The only exemption is program deferment or program (or campus) change with the same DLI. It is relatively still new, so almost all international students are only observing and researching for now. Cheers! 1 Like 1 Share |

otclare: Hello Otclare, This should not be a bother. Academics understand that the universe was created to have up(s) and down(s). Focus on your Application Assay. For the failed course, tell them a very brief and interesting story about how you struggled and how you overcame to graduating with a distinction... Thereon, use the attention receive to tell the graduate committee about what you learnt from your past academic weakness, and how the now possessed strength will impact the department and/or DLI. n.b. this should not be more than 2 – 3 sentences. Whale2018: Hello Whale2018, If possible, share the generic letter. Did you get the PF letter? Consider requesting your notes. Speaking of the sponsor, is your cousin ready to show commitment or just promissory?! A commitment will give more weight to your application. There is no harm changing a sponsor. A more closer family member like parent or sibling helps your situation more. Did the 6m come in as a lump sum, did you make any payment for your study, and what type of account did your sponsor use for the intent? Best of Luck |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by elenewton1: 4:56pm On Jun 13, 2021 |
To the best of my knowledge, this would not serve as misrepresentation owing to the fact that family situation may change over time. Moreover, Canada is intentional about uniting immediate families. folla: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by JustMellow: 5:12pm On Jun 13, 2021 |
Johanneiyoha: Hello Johanneiyoha, If you are opting to use an organizational sponsorship, it will be wise and advised that the tuition for the program year or length and living expenses be liquidated to you. Anything short of this will not be as effective as using an individual sponsorship, preferably close family sponsorship. Paying only C$ 1,400 is not a justifiable ground for demonstration that the funds is readily available to offset the full study cost. You mom do not need a passport to sponsor you. As along as she is gainfully employed and earning with some savings and/or incoming (lump) sums that is explainable with substantial evidence for her source of income, she stands to be a suitable sponsor than the organization. Best of Luck |

ireneayeni: Hello Ireneayeni, If you are not post-ITA (submitted) or AOR, answer "no." On the flip side, answer "yes." On the section to upload, you can choose either, or the client information placeholder which is most popular for such purpose. Best of Luck |
