Since then no coach had bring back the Etebo with his energetic display, and he was listed as a winger and As in that match right

Yes he played the wings in that tournament because we had Mikel.

And SS too, he should be reverted gradually back to the wings and As position, to get the best out of him

No line up yet?

As it stands both are going to start..
Ok. I'd like to ask you a question.

Do you think Oshoala would make the USWNT starting lineup?
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 8:47pm On Jun 13, 2021
Perhaps.
She is faster than Alex Morgan and she seems to have a higher profile.
Regarding Carli Lloyd, don't think so. She is a much more accomplished player.

She will definitely make the bench as a regular substitute and will also have sometimes to start 50/50...

Asisat Oshoala bring in a different dimension as a Striker, her pace and strength upfront is one of a kind in the world, if she could work on her first touches and become more Clinical she would definitely be among the top 5 strikers in the World..

She also needs more confidence taking on her Defenders/markers one-on-one..
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 8:52pm On Jun 13, 2021
No issues with that.

BTW, how is Demehin and her ankle? Any word?

Media Officer hasn't responded yet, but I guess she's fine now
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 8:54pm On Jun 13, 2021
I honestly believe that IF Oshoala goes back to playing as a defensive midfielder (which she started as while playing in the U20), she will most definitely be one of the best (if not the very best) women DMs in the world.

But other factors come into play - finishing, ball control/first touch, ability to take on defenders successfully.
She is a bit lacking in those areas.

Apart from Alex Morgan and Rapinoe, I don't even know any more forwards.

Is Roosa Ariyo injured?

She's not in the starting lineup, as well as on the substitution bench.

I sincerely hope Chikwelu, Ogbonna, and Okeke would up their games. I wonder why Monday and Bokiri can't make the starting line up.

She has to be injured. That explains her getting taken off before halftime. I would have been shocked that an American coach could be so ruthless.

Did she play the world cup? Cos I didn't see any of their players with Oshoala type of pace.
