A hit-and-run driver has reportedly knocked down a female student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH)Ogbomoso, identified as Echefu Lawrencia Uloma.

It was gathered that the incident happened near Mega Chicken at Ikota area of Lagos on Saturday, June 12.

One Segun Adeniyi, who shared the post on Facebook didn't indicate if the victim survived

Who let you out of the madhouse? All these Nigerian asylums sef. Dem no dey get better security. People go just dey escape come.mix with normal people for town.

People should have made effort to take her to nearest hospital rather than standing there to snap picture and post online.

I think it is high time a law is passed to punish those who snap pictures of accident victims without rendering help whatsoever with 20 years imprisonment (no option of fine). As for those gathering around accident victims without assistance to the injured person, minimum of 10 years imprisonment with option of fine of atleast 10 million naira.

So sad for her. May God lead and protect us always, Amen.

Those taking pictures could have atleast tried to save her life

It's appalling, but then again, my husband once tried to help convey an accident victim he just chanced upon to the hospital. The police and LASTMA gave him grief. Most people don't help anymore in Nigeria, because doing so could be at your own detriment.
