PHD?
How possible is this ?

In the US, most universities will admit you into their Ph.D program with a bachelors degree if you had a high cgpa. WES usually evaluate the Nigerian HND as the equivalent of the US bachelors degree, so if your WES evaluation comes with a 3.2/4.0 gpa, you should be good to go.

A lot is considered for admission into a Ph.D program. Do your research, visit the graduate section of your university, email the graduate coordinator.

Hello everyone I have some questions

1. Does the immigration officer have access to forms you sent to school.
2. Is there a problem if you are going for a second masters in US?
3. When filling DS160 the portion that states if you are traveling with company what is the best answer. I intend traveling with my husband but he does not yet have his passport and my I 20 does not indicate I am traveling with anyone. If I fill i am not traveling with anyone can he apply for f2 if I am still in the country?
4. When I sent my proof of funds to school I filled cousin but my i20 shows family. If asked who is sponsoring me can I say uncle or brother I have to say cousin?
Thank you.
1. I do not think so
2. No problem but be ready to defend why you need to do a second masters at the embassy....Are u focusing on something different from what u did earlier. is there a demand/need for this ur new masters at ur place of work? It would be easier to defend a second masters if its on scholarship.
3. I dont know.
4. Family on your I20 is safe. U can mention any family member. I think Brother or Uncle will even come across better.

Good morning NL

Please my friend has a situation and needs help.

She has a funding of 30k and a deficit of 13k
She was denied visa 1st of June and wants to reapply.
Please is it advisable for her to make changes to her DS 160? In her first attempt, she filled the school as the sponsor and her actual course of the study.
Now she's not sure whether to leave the school as the sponsor or use her guardian who will be covering the deficit.
She's also not sure whether to change the course to the one on her I-20 or leave it as the one she initially filled.

Please kindly help.

Thank you.
Let her fill a new ds160 and change sponsor from school.
So sad about that error
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by cliffton: 12:29am On Jun 15, 2021
Which department did you apply to and what degree? Morgan is not that generous with funding. Perhaps they are looking into your funding request that's why you haven't gotten the admission letter yet. This would be a huge commitment to the school hence they want to take their time.

I applied to Morgan too but had terrible experience with WES and my stupid school here in Nigeria. Their lousiness made my WES evaluation to linger from Nov. 2020 to June 14th 2021. Though, the department keeps reminding me that they are still waiting for my credential to make a decision.

I hope it comes with funding too no matter how little and I doubt if I can still meet up with visa processing and all this year.

1. No
2. No, but if you're asked anything regarding that, tell the VO, why you need a 2nd MSc
3. Since your i20 doesn't show that you have dependents or since there is no i20 for your dependents, he will need to apply for F2 while you're there after you must have contacted the DSO of your school to ammend/update your i20.

Good day,
I am an ordained Church pastor intending to travel to US to study for doctorate degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky along with my wife and two sons, 11 and 16 on F2.

I have friend who is a US citizen sponsoring me and my family. He works with a health services organization and he is the director of nursing. He is a certified nurse. However, we have been denied twice. One in April and the June 2021. The denial is on 214B.

Now I have a national denominational body in Nigeria and my church in Lagos willing to sponsor me. The national body is sponsoring me with $21,000 and my church where I am the pastor will sponsor my wife and children with $15,000 each year till I finish my studies and return to Nigeria with my family. I should mention that I have also change my course to Master's of Arts in Biblical Counseling instead of doctorate.

Furthermore, my church is granting me a three year's study leave, so I will resume back to my job after my graduation in the United States.

Lastly, can you honestly let me know if this new change will clear the 214B case. I eagerly wait for your response. Give me you advise please.
Thank you all
