I think you misunderstood him sir. When he said Messi is past his prime he meant he is not the Messi we used to know despite him still operating in the highest level of football. He isn't saying Messi is no longer world class. You can't compare the current Messi to the one of 2009-2015. That was when Messi was in his prime.

I'm very sure he didn't misunderstand me..
He is just being sentimental..

Messi is past the age where you have to build your team around him.. Its at this stage that you provide him with a good supporting cast...lift the burden off him..
It's a shame that since Xavi,Iniesta and Neymar left, Messi is still the one carrying the team...

Okay that’s true

Got you now

I totally agree

Carpenters that helped them win a world cup. Who are those top midfielders on their bench? They have plenty attackers but few midfielders.

From the bench

Sissoko of spurs is bang average

I would rather take 18 year old camavinga to this tournament than him

Sissoko ke

Everybody helped France to win the World Cup even the ones with no contribution grin

Name the super star midfielder on the bench that was my question. Everybody knows Sisoko and Matuidi did the dirty jobs for France. Matuidi played every match if I'm not mistaken.

Ngolo bandit and Paul herdsman will always do a better job

And mind you Matuidi is a world class player ,so I have nothing against him ,Deschamps won’t call him from inter Miami ,Rabiot should enjoy his time

If I ever hear camavinga that overhyped amateur cow.

Everything he does is average at best. And people still get mouth to praise am.

He’s got age on his side and time to improve nothing else. Right now I can’t rate him above. Pedri, puig, mctomine and the likes.

Truth be told sissoko time don pass.

That his Burst of pace and sheer raw power ain’t there anymore.

Kante proves you don’t hulk strength to win midfield. Stamina and perfect timed tackles.

Sadly brute force players like Blaise matuidi and sissoko are played out because they can’t evolve.

That’s why I so badly wants ndidi to improve the forward aspect of his game

Naija in the EPL 2021/2022 season

NB: As things stand now. If for instance, a deal like Onyeka to Brentford pulls through later in the summer, then great. But until then.... wink

Opening round of EPL Fixtures for the 2021/22 season (August 14):

- Alex Iwobi: Everton vs. Southampton

- Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho: Leicester vs. Wolves

- William Troost Ekong, Isaac Success and Tom Dele Bashiru: Watford vs. Aston Villa

Finland taking on a side they haven't defeated in over 100 years (109 years to be precise). Chaaaiiii

Last win for Finland over Russia came in 1912 at the Olympics. Some of their grandpas were not even born.

Abeg, who do we have a Century-old undefeated dominance over? Ohhh... Ofcos, how old are we sef? lol grin
