Hello everyone. Our child is 9 months and we think that she is ready to make her first steps. We think about buying a baby walker and looking for the best options. Are such walkers good to make the walking learning process faster and what baby walker can you recommend? |

Ajokeomo:Mine is 16 months old and I made up my mind last night to stop breastfeeding him. I told my sister in law this morning and she said hubby also sucked for long as a child and mother inlaw tried everything to no avail until she used cotton wool, dipped im water and hubby saw it and ran away. I said let me try it this afternoon for my baby, my guy suvked out the cotton wool the first time and used his hand to pull it out the second time... I then decided to use my paper cellotape and plaster on my nipp.les. I gave him to suck,he saw it and was shocked and used his big eyes to look at me, maybe confirming if I'm the one, then he pushed his face away .... I tried it after about an hour again, he just pushed my breast away and came down by himself, he's been avoiding the breast since that time...I'm the one pursuing him to come and collect so it will register in that his brain that it is over. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello Everyone, happy to be a part of this thread. It's been very educative and entertaining all together. My baby girl is 18months old and living with her mother at her grandma's place for now. I went visiting recently and saw her using Premier soap to bath my girl. I was so angry but had to hold myself. I was very disappointed becos I thought as an elderly lady, she should know better than me and even the mother about stuffs like that. I also found out that the mother gave her Caro White cream to use for the baby. in addition, the baby's new growing hair is also very painful during combing of which I found out that they don't even use any cream at all on her hair. I have told them to stop using those items ASAP and intend to go there with a better soap, cream and hair cream on my next visit usually every Sundays. I was also adviced to use Mega Growth cream for her hair. Please, experienced mother's in the house, I need your honest recommendations. I want my babygirl to look fresh and adorable. Please advise. Thanks |

amadaovie:Your anger is understood Caro white is horrible even for adults let alone a baby. Baby brands Sebamed, Aveeno are very good. Also get baby hair products for natural hair. Shampoo and leave-in conditioner and a water spray bottle. They should only shampoo the hair once a week. Spray the hair with water and apply small conditioner then comb. 2 Likes 1 Share |

amadaovie: There are many brands of baby cream that are safe to use. Cussons has a complete box of everything including oil, lotion, powder, wash, soap tablet,. Angels, Johnsons also have similar sets too. Jimpo is the natural version. Has all natural Shea butter and tear free black soap too. If you'd like to go natural for her, use Jimpo and coconut oil for her. Boots soap bar is also great. Affordable and plenty, 4 big bars can last roughly six months sef. It has lotions and head to toe wash too Then there's the high end ones. Chicco Sebamed Aveeno Johnsons (there's the US and the Italy) Please try to educate them on why Caro White is terrible for anyone one, talk much of a child! For her hair, there are many hair care ranges for kids. I usually subscribe to them from when my kids are 6 months old. There's Maracruiz (tested and trusted, has a whole range too) , Chebe hair care ( Aim07 here sells the whole range and it works! That's what I use for my kids currently and I'm already seeing changes especially with my littlest that has chop chop hair ) Then they should get a spray bottle and put water and coconut oil, mix and spray her hair whenever they want to comb her hair. Well done Daddy. You're doing well. 18 Likes 1 Share |

Good morning mamas. Please help a fellow mama who is seriously worried. Yesterday, my son started "purging". He pooped about 4 times yesterday, the first two was normal but others were slimmy and very loose. We do combi feeding. This morning we had two feeding sessions of breastmilk and he didn't poop. Around 6am, he woke up to eat and I gave him formula. In less than 5 minutes he pooped (same yellow slimmy poop with small small seeds.) I'm suspecting the formula is the culprit here, and I'm thinking of changing it today, as I cannot do exclusive due to baby's large appetite. We have been using Nan 1 since birth. Please suggest other formulas we can switch to that won't upset him. He is 7 weeks old. 1 Like |

Allansmith: You might need to try the products recommended by Zaynie for the alopecia. For rejecting food issue, usually the first signs of ill-health in babies is they start to reject food. You might want to take her to the hospital to run tests. |
