I will just like to put it out there for anyone thinking we do not have a reason to be worried about this whole interview issue. First off, I will like you to know that other West African countries have the luxury to can choose desired interview dates. You can check the link below to verify. German Embassy Ghana (CAT A & CAT B) https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_category.do?locationCode=accr&realmId=279&categoryId=452 German Embassy Benin Republic (No Category) https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_category.do?locationCode=coto&realmId=552&categoryId=882 German Embassy Togo (No Category) https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_category.do?locationCode=lome&realmId=796&categoryId=1464 Germany Embassy Cameroun (No Category) https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_realmList.do?request_locale=de&locationCode=jaun Again, if we say it was because of covid, please tell me why some of my coursemates from China, Turkey, the US, India, Ghana e.t.c are on campus!! Plus, the covid case in Nigeria is not as terrible as it is in some European countries. Now let's go to the mathematics of the block account, as we all know, we have some people who have already blocked 10,000EUR into their accounts. If I can assume, maybe 200 people in Nigeria have already blocked their accounts. That is 10,000* 200 =2,000,000EUR (N1,130,000,000) Yes, over a billion naira and that is just approximate in the German economy. If we wouldn't want to deceive ourselves, most enrolled students in Nigeria can not put in their 100% with the hybrid studies. So many uncertainties, how do you study efficiently?? Like what happens after semesters online, you don't get a visa? What next? There is absolutely nothing wrong to involve the Nigerian Government in this situation. My Take! I wouldn't do this. They always confirm these things and you probably will be sent out. But if you think you want to try it out, go ahead. obibanks: |

Kboy2020: Why go to Turkey for interview? Is the Germany embassy not in Cyprus? Unless maybe you are not a legal resident in Cyprus otherwise, apply at Cyprus. |

Before March 31st 2021, to register under Category A, your degree certificate for first class must've been gotten after Januray 2018. However, if you applied after March 31st, any first class degree before January 2019 is considered invalid for Cat A. I hope this helps. kellyi: |

Elninoarmando: Nawa..this is getting serious, they should just scrap the category B ,let them put it on their website that it only category A,.and we are getting use to this situation, if some of us had known we wouldn't have tried Germany, program one need to finish within a year will take 2year with the current situation, it not fair at all 1 Like |

richy16: It's tiring mehn. By that time some programmes for some category B applicants must have been near rounding off,if at all they go by that notice. |

Elninoarmando:Going by that notice,is it advisable for a aspirant to book for CAT B a year before applying to schools? 1 Like |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Elninoarmando(m): 1:41pm On Jun 16, 2021 |
tobystringz: Well, that's what it is. I don't know if the implementation includes the recently category B booking or the upcoming one. Which means if you're starting school in summer 2023,you have to book for an appointment from October 2021 and for winter 2023,you have to book for an appointment in April 2022. richy16: I did. It's there in the comment you replied. The lady that answered my call said it has taken effect immediately and that's why they update their information from time to time. If you check the category B page i uploaded,it says "current waiting period......." Call them to confirm too. |

You guys will be surprised they are keeping dates for their people. No be naija again. And anyone that will come here defending them saying that Nigeria don't focus on study, please try and ask about other countries that travel to Germany too. Expecially indians. The same embassy still stated that we should cancel and rebook by April and September. After deceiving people to can and rebook they are doing this nonsense |

Nhkgtf: Mehn, I'm tired. No positive needs has come from this thread lately, it's sad. But I think they'll still review that decision, more than one year is very ridiculous. What's the hell is that? Benin/Togo have dates every 2 weeks for the next two months or so. |
