ajoks533: Extended performance- go longer between oil changes (usually 15,000 miles) High millage- for cars with a lot of miles but not necessary (usually 100k and up) full syntethic- applies to any of the above. Corollas do not require synthetic though but it doesn't hurt to use it. |

radautoworks:Aunty Radu. My camry 06 engine too is shortening oil but not smoking yet (maybe not visible) except sometimes in the morning till the engine gets hot and the smoke disappears. They said it's valve seal but I just don't want anybody to tamper with the engine so I'm using it like that. How much will it cost to fix (the oil shortening and probably the valve stuff) if it qualifies for fixing and how long is the warranty? Thank you for always being there |

radautoworks: Thanks @Radautoworks for your advice, I appreciate. Please, no vex... What would you advice me on Catalyst. I picked this car and the sound from the under was funny and rattling a bit when I accelerate, I also noticed the fuel gauge drops faster than usual, meaning high fuel consumption. This prompted me to scan the car and the two times I scanned it brought back this error. On a physical check, the panel beater said the catalyst is empty. So, there is need for replacement. Right now am confused as to what to do because; 1. I just picked this car and want to keep this engine working perfectly for a very very long time, so I don't want to sabotage it's integrity. Which is the reason why I even want to start using Mobil 1. 2. The price of buying a direct belgium catalyst is not a pocket friendly one. So please I need an advice and guide on how to solve this issue. 1 Like

This code is 02 sensor related code not catalyst. Just change the 02 sensor that's all. ajoks533: |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by oluwaseunla(m): 10:07pm On Jun 16, 2021 |
davit: Not all actually. That sensor is necessary to assess catalyst function. If the catalyst is indeed missing, he will not have a catalyst code until that sensor is fixed. Once the sensor is sorted, and the ECM gets all the readings from the new working sensor, it may then throw a catalyst code. He may be looking at two repairs in this instance. 4 Likes 1 Share |

deedee44: E sure me say.. Over 60% of us here, have engine shortening of oil issue. When I started uber newly, I went for oil change at 2700miles. They checked the dip stick and there was no single oil on it. I double checked and the stick never got to the level of the remaining oil in my car. When they drained the oil, what came out was just about 1 litter of oil. I've been topping with 1 litre of oil every 1k miles since then (2019) till now. It have even gotten to 1litre every 800miles. Yet the car doesn't smoke nor have sludge. It fires pretty well. I've traveled to East 4times with the car even with this issue. 2times this year. The only major problem my car is having is shorting of oil, but if you hear the sound, you would think it's a toks car. Na body go fit tell you say the car don teey for naija. So mama Raduatoworks, if actually there's a way, you've got a lot of us here seeking for it. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

donfortune48:If you drive a camry with the 2az engine, oil shortage is normal. Thiis is a result of factory defects in the engine design. 7 Likes |
