TheExalted: Good day @The exalted 1. About this school fees issue it's not coumplsory to pay before leaving one can pay when he/she gets there. but recently officers at the POE have started asking for tuition fees receipt from students. If he pays then fine if not he would have to convince POE agent as to Why. Nevertheless students are still entering canada with or without payment of fees. 2. There are no limits to how much cash you can bring into Canada, and it's not illegal to bring large amounts across Canada's borders. However, if you have C$10,000 or more (or the equivalent in a foreign currency), you must declare it at the border.( But make sure to convert money to USD/CAD before travelling). 3.just basic questions about himself, his purpose of visit in Canada, duration of study, funds availability. Etc. You can check the link below to know more about the questions tone asked. https://www.nairaland.com/1893090/likely-questions-expect-port-entry Hope this helps. 2 Likes |

CrownTdan: Good day @CrownTdan You can book a one way ticket to Toronto if that's your final destination. But if not it would be better to book a multi-city ticket as this is usually asked at the Port of entry. Apps for booking one way ticket are listed below. Ethiopian Luthfasana British airways Egypt air Klm Hope this helps. |

EmeeNaka: Good day @EmeeNaka IELTS test score is only mandatory for a study permit application if he/she wants to go through the NSE(Nigerian student express) route whish lists 2 documents to be provided *My bank statement certificate (MBS). *IELTS test score. But if you want your application to be processed the normal route then it is not needed in the application. Hope this helps. |

ireneayeni: Good day @ireneayeni You can't pay an application fee with a naira MasterCard the limit is 100usd and you are paying an application of 235usd. You either get a dormicilary account or a flutter wave batter account fund it with dollar and pay. You get someone you trust(maybe a relative) abroad to pay for you. Hope this helps. 1 Like |

Zodiacwarrior: Hi please i submitted my application in May but I didn't include my husbands application for open work permit. Someone just told me now that I should have added his application with mine. I actually thought its after I get my study permit he can use it to apply for an open work permit. Please can anyone clarify me on this? Is there a way we can still add his application to mine? |

Daewoods: Good day @Daewoods if you are going to do it that way It is possible but not with word document instead use CamScanner after including all other documents as images it converts it to PDF. Hello house, please I need your guidance on the choice of course and best school. I have HND in Computer Science (2010) and I have had almost 10 years of experience in the department of ICT in a paramilitary setting. Please which PGD/PGC course will best suit me and a recommended school to look out for. Having spent 10 years, I'm qualified to further my studies. Please what are documents that I will need to submit if I seek sponsorship from the board of the paramilitary I work with? CC @Lekkiboboe, @Justmellow, @Frankrobbn, and other gurus. |

You already did the right thing. It's always advisable to submit your application alone at first as it improves your home ties. I hope it ends well with your application. Shenaniganzzz: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Shenaniganzzz: 8:37pm On Jun 18, 2021 |
elenewton1: Amen I hope so too but I was told that after I get my study permit, it won't be easy for my husband to get the open work permit. That ircc won't even look at his application. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by elenewton1: 8:45pm On Jun 18, 2021 |
This isn't true. Canada is intentional about reuniting families. In fact, a new office was recently opened in Nova Scotia to handle only spousal open work permit in order to speed up the process of reuniting families. Applying together with your husband at this moment might give the visa officer the impression that you all want to leave your country. Hence, will take a lot of convincing for the visa officer to believe you won't leave Canada at th end of your study. You are on the right track. Shenaniganzzz: 1 Like |
