Hello family Please what advice do you have for someone that will like to continue his banking career in Canada...Presently on the second grade after Executive trainee, branch staff,Msc Accounting,CFA Investment Foundations and CIBN in view ....less than 29 yrs. Are there courses I can register for in Nigeria?...Do I need to go back to school to study particular courses??.... and so on Many Thanks @jbelieve,slowly but surely,Salford, ednut |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by CanadianNaija: 8:19am On Jun 19, 2021 |
adesbaba: CIBN is the most useless banking certification anyone can think of achieving. It's useless in Naija so imagine how much more useless it is when you leave the shores of the country. You don't need to go back to school for banking since you have the experience already, you'll just have to decide what area of banking you want to apply to when you arrive. Do you want to deal with investments, mortgages, treasury etc. It will determine wether you should start studying for CSc or IFC (which most new comers use as an in for financial advisor, financial planner jobs), or if you should just face your CFA. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Thanks so much.... I understand that CIBN has a branch in Canada .so I was thinking I could take advantage of the networking from the association. And for the job roles are they particular to Toronto alone or also other cities like Edmonton,Calgary and co. Thanks once again CanadianNaija: |

Long wait for FSW draws. I decided to earn certifications. Passed my PMP exam and about to write my Certified Business Analyst Exam (CBAP). I’d like to know if these certifications are relevant in Canada & would help land a good job. I’d appreciate recommendations too. Thank you 2 Likes |

Good day all, It feels good to be posting here, having just received a Study Visa. I am trying my best to read through the thread as there is so much information to garner. However, I would like to ask a few location specific questions since I would be going to Halifax, Nova Scotia. 1. What is the best location to stay with family? 2. Which region within Halifax has the best Elementary and Middle school, as that will likely determine where we'll stay. 3, Are there specific Elementary and Middle schools that can be recommended? 4. Is there a Whatsapp or Telegram f=group I can join? Thank you all so much as I await your kind responses 1 Like 1 Share |
