There's a lot of ambiguity concerning this Grazing route of a thing. The government should resolve this crisis just like the developed nations. Please read my article on why Crypto Currency is here to stay. https://www.facebook.com/103036562026173/posts/105569405106222/?app=fbl |

Penguin2: You've hit the nail on the head! How much is cattle rearing adding to our GDP? That's the kind of economic consideration the government should look at and sell to the people, if there is really any reasonable input can be presented. Is it no longer a private business? To what extent is the same government putting the same energy into supporting other agribusiness in general or even animal husbandry in particular? Is there enough land in the north to house all these pastoralists and GROW forage for their animals? To the extent that the government is not bringing up these REAL issues but is just forcing the herders on the rest of the country, to that extent is it becoming very clear that there is a hidden agenda to this whole issue. Buhari has an agenda he is driving with this RUGA or grazing reserves or whatever name he wants to call it. Part of the main focus is what you have stated there. If Buhari succeeds, the effects will be devastating on the country. 1 Like |

Re: No Going Back On Grazing Routes Recovery – FG by Academicwizman(m): 4:04pm On Jun 19, 2021 |
codemaniacs: You are right. That's because we allowed it to be so because we denigrate cattle business in the South. Outside Nigeria, there are many tribes that engage in cattle businesses. Let many of our youths in the South also become herdsmen. I am telling you, this normadic cattle business is lucrative. Our jobless youths on Southern Nigeria can tap into it now that the Federal Government wants to subsidize it heavily. The gracing routes are for herdsmen. Our unemployed youths can as well become herdsmen to occupy the grazing routes in their communities. The Federal Government has not come out openly to state that the grazing routes are for the Fulanis. They say it's for the herdsmen. We can also (as youths in the South) become herdsmen. "Cunning man die: cunning man bury am". I hope you understand. Besides, grazing routes will not allow cows to move into cultivated sedentary farms. Vehicles have roads they pass through. That is why they don't veer into people's homes. 1 Like |

OluwaGoverment:There's no doubt about the fact that buhari is out to serve the interest of his fulani kinsmen inevitably setting a very dangerous precedence, with sincerity of purpose the best solution to the herdsmen/farmer problem would have been for states to create grazing reserves if necessary with federal support for the fulanis or any herder to register n use for a renewable fee, this would be a win win situation for all,the host communities would be assured that the herders are only renting the land n not claiming outright ownership, the herders will be better secured n enjoy better amenities n economic opportunities, but it's clear that buhari is only out to gift willy nilly the whole of Nigerian territory to his kinsmen,so many attempts have been made already RUGA, CATTLE COLONY,INLAND WATER BODIES TAKE OVER n now this,I'm afraid to say that the adamant posture of the federal government will only lead to more problems, but time shall tell. |

In spite of the overwhelming outcry against the plan to retrace and recover grazing routes across the country, the Federal Government is not showing signs of relenting. The ZOO government can recover the grazing routes in the North but there are NONE in BIAFRA LAND and absolutely NONE to recover. |
