I think what happened was, the stylist picked and held a piece of hair where there's a nerve in the scalp and didn''t know.

I had that experience severally and then I'll feel like crying and loosening the hair until i discovered it was a particular part that had a nerve. I loosened that part and immdiately felt a great relief.
For some, it may be in three places in their scalp.

Since then, whenever my stylist gets to that part, I'll tell her to loosen her grip.

This one looks too tight. Haba. No baby hair in the front line to even spice it up. Thank God my natural baby hair is my saving grace as they can't hold it.

She's not being dramatic. This could be really painful. After the hair's done and the stylist wanna pack the hair into a bond, it's really really painful. It will pull all the scalp nerves, feeling like you're being stabbed or poked with needles . I have this style on presently, did mine last week, got home and immediately downed 2 tablets of paracetamol. After two days, she'll be fine.

Abeg abeg what is it. This is not the first time somebody will braid hair now. This is all the hairstlyist's fault. She held the hair too damn tight.


I've experienced different hairstylists too. My advise to this babe is to never patronize this madam again cos she will send her to her early grave.

Yes.Pain thresholds also is a factor .
I take paracetamol for 3 days after making Hair cos of pain Nd fever ,seeing it's not worth it,cut my hair .It is also why you see so many women with receding hairline or feathery hair cos of the pull of the attachments.
