I really support this position and will like to add that you could be suffering from allergies.
This could be from what you eat/drink, something new you introduce to your house/room, toiletries, perfume, air freshener among other things.

Checkout the list and trace back to the time you began noticing it.

Also worthy of note is did you have blood transfusion during this period of 8yrs if yes it could be from there….

It might not actually be catarrh. Meet a doctor, explain things to him/her and tell him that you'll like to do a CAT scan of your head region. I've seen a case where someone was having catarrh for years and it eventually turned out that it wasn't really catarrh, cerebrospinal fluid had somehow been leaking from his brain into his nose

Hi. I had a similar issue about 25yrs ago. Here is what I did and it disappeared.
1. Boil hot water and add a little salt. Use a clean small towel and soak it in the hot water and use it to clean ur ur forehead, base of ur nose and the inside of ur nose. Make sure the water is hot but don't use it to burn urself. Dab it on ur face twice in the morning, twice in the afternoon and twice in the evening.
2. Boil water and drink it hot in the morning, afternoon and evening. Each time of the day u need to take water, drink the hot water. Store it in a flask.
3. Avoid sleeping on the floor/mat to avoid cold.
4. Avoid sleeping on a dusty floor.
5. Avoid anything dust.
6. Don't expose ur body even when ur feeling hot.
7. Start learning how to bath hot water in the morning, afternoon and evening for now.
Just follow these steps and give it time. It will dry up automatically. U will be okay. Cheers.

Stop bathing with cold water.
Limit your exposure to cold. Wear thick cloth if the environment is cold.
Minize sleeping with AC. or fan.

Exercise to sweat and free your body.

Get more fresh air. Most likely you have some allergy. Do more of walking, especially early in the morning or late at night. It worked for me.

It is an allergy that I also have and it has lasted for more than 10 years. I have seen an ENT doctor and I was told it is called RHINITIS. What I use to mitigate it is a nasal spray called AVAMYN. Also, you need daily use of LORATYN. Spray Avamyn into each nostril every morning.

What triggers mine is a blast of cold air to my face/nose or the odour from dirty clothes. After using the medication after a few days, stop using it and only do so when ever you feel the discomfort again.

I have been in the OP shoe. Mine started when i was working in the bank as a cash officer. you can imagine those god forsaken cash with dust given to you to count everyday. i started developing the issue which was very serious and chronic that attimes i find it difficult to breath and will feel like ripping the goddam nose of my face to have peace. In my own case I don’t have any blood issue, I have a stuffy nose and mostly at night blocked, but consultation will help her know how to treat herself.

I've been living with catarrh since my childhood, as long as I can remember, and funny enough I can't do without fan or AC when there's light.
