For allergic rhinitis, as long as you are exposed to the allergen (could be dust, flower, grass that was just cut, fan in a dusty room, AC etc) you will keep having the symptoms.
It can only be managed by resolving the symptoms.
Go to a teaching hospital for care.
Few tests would be required of you.
If the source is not tackled and you go with some jargons I am reading here, you will just have relieved symptoms for few days and it will reoccur.

Well I also had such case mine is above 20years. But Thank God one doctor was able to cure it. And advice me on what to avoid.
First you have to avoid cold water. Stop bathing with cold water.

3. Don't take any drug for cartah it will. Not cure it. Make sure you don't stay on dust. Change your bedsheets regularly. And avoid using RUG.
Lastly treat malaria
That is all you need to avoid for you to be free from cartah.
Then when you have avoided all the steps above. The Doctor. Now told me what to do as the treatment. So listen as I share with you.
1. Boil hot water like two glasses of water
2. Add half tea spoon of salt in a bucket of hot water
3. Massage ur nostril with the water. Ur forehead and your left of d forehead. I mean ur upper left ear side. Do this for a week.
4. This areas ur massage rub menthol oil or rub.
5. Then asked for my number to appreciate.

I had this and you won't believe what fixed it. No medicine did despite me trying many, many different things. But fixing my posture did. I used to slouch a lot when standing and I guess this affected the way I breathe. And subconsciously, I used to breathe through my mouth at times because of this, giving me chronic catarrh. How I fixed it? In addition to learning to stand upright at all times, I had to build my lung capacity again (as it was severely underused). So I started going for runs, making sure that I would keep my mouth closed and only breathe through my nose. The first few times it didn't take me running a few meters for catarrh to start developing, and for me to run out of breath. But I kept at it and also always took a handkerchief with me while running. Immediately I felt catarrh welling up in my nose, I'd blow my nose completely and keep going (instead of subconsciously breathing with my mouth like I always did).


Also, look up diaphragmatic breathing. That's the "proper" way to breathe. It could help too, as it definitely helped me.


I don't know if you have the same problem as I did but I thought this was worth sharing.

It is an allergy that I also have and it has lasted for more than 10 years. I have seen an ENT doctor and I was told it is called RHINITIS. What I use to mitigate it is a nasal spray called AVAMYN. Also, you need daily use of LORATYN. Spray Avamyn into each nostril every morning.

What triggers mine is a blast of cold air to my face/nose or the odour from dirty clothes. After using the medication after a few days, stop using it and only do so when ever you feel the discomfort again.

Hi. I had a similar issue about 25yrs ago. Here is what I did and it disappeared.
1. Boil hot water and add a little salt. Use a clean small towel and soak it in the hot water and use it to clean ur ur forehead, base of ur nose and the inside of ur nose. Make sure the water is hot but don't use it to burn urself. Dab it on ur face twice in the morning, twice in the afternoon and twice in the evening.
2. Boil water and drink it hot in the morning, afternoon and evening. Each time of the day u need to take water, drink the hot water. Store it in a flask.
3. Avoid sleeping on the floor/mat to avoid cold.
4. Avoid sleeping on a dusty floor.
5. Avoid anything dust.
6. Don't expose ur body even when ur feeling hot.
7. Start learning how to bath hot water in the morning, afternoon and evening for now.
Just follow those steps and give it time. U will be okay. Cheers.

You are definitely suffering from allergies!
Go see a doctor that specializes in allergies to identify what exactly you are allergic to.
Am suspecting dust. There may be others. Check your living environment for mold and mildew.
Have you been living in the same environment for this past 8 years? Am sure a change of environment might be of help.

Go see a qualified ENT doctor, they will do a cat scan might need septoplasty surgery, FESS draining may be needed and steroids medicine to heal.

Try sinus rinse when blocked to breath better

Diet contributes a lot to mucus and inflammation.

I discovered this by accident when I was treating for something else (antibiotics overdose).
