Chinese developer builds 10-storey building in Changsha in just over 28 hours
A 10-storey residential building in China’s Changsha city was just built in 28 hours and 45 minutes. Broad Group, the developer of the building, shared a nearly five-minute-long video on its YouTube channel on June 13, where it showed how the entire structure was erected.

We have often come across stories of the least time taken to construct a building or a skyscraper. It requires detailed planning, adequate workforce and factoring in the weather. Usually, it takes days, weeks or sometimes even months for the construction to complete.

However, a 10-storey residential building in China’s Changsha city was just built in 28 hours and 45 minutes. Broad Group, the developer of the building, shared a nearly five-minute-long video on its YouTube channel on June 13, where it showed how the entire structure was erected.

One would question how is it humanly or technologically possible to construct a building in such a short span of time? The answer to this is the use of prefabricated construction systems. A report by New Atlas on June 16 said that pre-fabricated buildings are designed to be put together very quickly. The building modules, which look like huge containers, are first constructed in Broad Group’s factory and transported to the building site in trucks and stacked as per requirement.

The video showed that the modules were being stacked on top of each other using cranes. Once this was done, workers started joining the modules together using bolts and also installed electricity and water connection along with furnishing. The New Atlas report also said that at least three cranes were needed to speed up the construction of the 10 storey building in Changsha but the number of builders on site were low.

Broad Group has said the building is earthquake resistant and can also be disassembled and moved to another location.

China has Ghost cities because they took proactive steps to invest in massive structures considering their population. This aggressive housing development schemes resulted in having more houses than occupants.

Its normal for any unoccupied building or unused vehicle especially without regular maintenance to depreciate in value. This has nothing to do with structural integrity but everything to do with non usage and non maintenance.

I watch their documentaries and I've seen that many parts of China are suffering, the grass is not all green there but they are trying really hard, they're very hard-working people.

Bro I think you are being somewhat speculative here. Read about the nuclear plant issue here and discover there's no issue there that the partnering countries cannot fix.

No one is saying China is all perfect but the rate at which they are going is such that has been giving not only the US but the entire imperial Western countries sleepless nights. Talks about China dominated the G7 summit. In the last months of Trump's Tenure, Pompeo had to tour many Asian countries to campaign against China. The truth is that the west don't like rivalry especially from countries they consider inferior.

Prefab buildings have been proven not to be stable going higher, but good when u doing 2,3 floors

Skyscrappers employ the same technique, except in their case its more steel than concrete (due to several reasons).

That house was fixed,not built.And they have fixed buildings @ Jehovah's witness branch too..When I visited years ago I saw they moving story building from one location to another. So that's why I am not surprised after watching the video above
