So who scored the goals that brought them promotion? They went for Dennis because they're looking for cheap potential. He may still not be the front man.

Bro, it's not just about signing for an Epl team. You have to prove yourself at that club to succeed and be respected. For example, Isaac success is at Watford but he has been disappointing all season long

English Premier League club Brighton & Hove are interested in signing 2016 Olympics bronze medalist Umar Sadiq from Almeria in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Sadiq put himself in the shop window after a breakout season that saw him score 28 goals combined for Almeria and Partizan Belgrade.

Local newspaper based in Almeria, La Voz de Almeria, says Brighton & Hove and Bayer Leverkusen have his name on the list of transfer targets.

Everything now points to the fact that the Seagulls are looking to add a new attacker to their ranks before the window closes, not just any striker but a tall center forward, having been linked with possible moves for Nigerian trio Paul Onuachu (6'7"), Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo (6'6") and Umar Sadiq (6'4").

Though Sadiq has a release clause of 60 million euros, Almeria are willing to negotiate with interested clubs who make an offer in the region of 30 million euros.

The 24-year-old played on loan at Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers in 2018 but struggled for game time, so much so that he was recalled from the Premiership club before the original agreement was due to expire.

Apart from Bayer Leverkusen, Brighton face competition from Sevilla for the signature of the ex-Nigeria U23 international.

Former Flying Eagles coach Paul Aigbogun picked the controversial 25-man squad of NPFL players who will take on Mexico in a friendly next month, just as officials informed SCORENigeria that the team will be led by NFF technical director and former Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen.

Eguavoen will be in charge of the team with Aigbogun serving as his assistant, an official disclosed.

Curiously, Super Eagles assistant coach Joseph Yobo has not been mentioned as part of this arrangement.

Yobo status in the national team remains very uncertain after his absence at the Super Eagles recent friendlies against Cameroon in Austria could not be explained.

It was gathered that scouting in the NFF technical department falls under Aigbogun and the former Enyimba and Warri Wolves coach has also undertaken scouting missions for NPFL stars for Gernot Rohr.

Questions have raged over the merit or otherwise of a good number of the call-ups for the July 3 friendly against Mexico in Los Angeles.

Rohr himself appears to have “washed his hands” off the team after he insisted he was “only an adviser” and will not be the one to lead them out against Mexico, who are ranked 11th in the world by FIFA.

Gernot Rohr has said he will not be the coach to lead out the NPFL stars who will take on Mexico in a friendly early next month in the USA.

The NPFL stars will face Mexico on July 3 in a friendly on July in Los Angeles.

Rohr has now clarified that he will not be the coach in charge of the team for this match.

“I am only an adviser (to the team),” the Super Eagles coach.

The NFF technical department headed by Austin Eguavoen, a former Super Eagles coach, is believed to have compiled a squad of 25 players from the NPFL for this game.

Nigeria plan to use this friendly to prepare for the next CHAN.

Former Arsenal winger Xavier Amaechi has been released by Hamburg.

The Hamburger Abendblatt reports the 20-year-old Englishman was released from training to hold talks with other clubs.

Amaechi spent part of last season on-loan with Karlsruher SC.

In the summer of 2019, Hamburg paid 2.5 million euros for the winger, making Amaechi the second most expensive purchase since relegation to the second division.

But the left-sided winger has struggled to make an impact over these two years with HSV.

Italian champions Inter Milan have reportedly added Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo to their transfer wishlist this summer.

According to Serie B News, several top-flight clubs in Italy are targeting the Nigeria international to reinforce their attack and one of those clubs is Inter Milan.

The coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted Inter Milan's finances and new manager Simone Inzaghi is concentrating his efforts on signing quality but cheap players.

It is claimed that Fiorentina and Genoa are currently in pole position for the signature of the lanky striker who has also been linked with Premier League club Brighton & Hove.

Simy took the Serie A by storm last season, scoring 20 goals and assisting three others in 38 matches for demoted Crotone.

It is believed that his preference is to play in the English Premier League next term and remaining in the Serie A is another good option.

The 29-year-old has one year left on his contract at Crotone and is available for a fee in the region of ten million euros.

The boy had so much promise and was very good at youth level for the gunners, making the transition from youth team football to a higher level senior team football is difficult for a lot of players. Deji Beyreuther has also been released by Hoffenheim and is heading to German division 3.

Don’t forget his ordeal he had with those olosho in his first season when h was just about to hit top form. He had to mess it up. That cost me game time, and trust me his success would have made scouts take Nigerian players more seriously, now it’s ndidi, osimen and co brought that luck to us.
