But considering that things are about to get tougher, I don't think that double pivot is going away. Maybe he will switch things up by putting Henderson in the mix like he did today.

As for the attack, Grealish and Sancho have to play more. I would've preferred a 4-3-3 with Phillips at DM. Southgate seems to like Sterling so perhaps he will keep his LW role, then let Grealish and Mount/Foden start as the two no.8s. Actually Henderson legs beside Rice is good. Henderson is also much more of a high volume passer than Phillips. Infact Henderson has been topping volume passes in EPL for a couple of years now. Phillips is a DM, not a second midfielder.

This looks good to me. I am simply against having two destroyers on the pitch when you are not trying to protect a lead. One of them has to be a really good passer of the ball for it to remotely work.

Exactly....It doesn't have to be Mount, the dude that replaced Him Henderson would be perfect. He gives the defensive solidity Rice and Kalvin provides whist offering more on the attacking side. The goal at the end of the day is to win not to entertain or please everyone.

Either of them will do. Not to fussed tbh or maybe the one with a bit more pace.

Yup that double pivot is not going away anytime soon. If something was to happen to one of Henderson,Kalvin or Rice you best bet He'd draft in a centre back to occupy that spot rather than deviate from His existing norm. Your 433 with Grealish and Mount playing in midfield was one of my suggestion but I doubt Southgate takes that risk seeing that He is very risk averse. Both players are incredibly hardworking hence why I see it working. They'd happily work their butt off all day.

Truth be told, bar the goals, Sterling has been average. I have lost count now the amount of time He has given the ball away but if the goals keep coming then I'm not complaining. Those goals are very much needed considering Kane's present form.
