He is actually right, he is owing also, even his Capital Oil Depot seized by the federal govt was as a result of debt to banks and suppliers, he is also owing his workers close to 2years salaries... I have nothing against him though but I just wonder at times when one owe commoners who do the works that brings the cash and you go about donating to fellow rich people or hosting Footballers and also doing charity to those who will only sing your praise all cos of the money and the workers are denied... I know someone who worked in that depot and owed salaries...

Even if it is a private limited liability company, the same protection avails Ifeanyi Ubah from being held to pay the debts of Capital oil except he personally guaranteed to pay the debts. From my knowledge in the banking industry long ago.

It is Capital Oil which is a company that is distinct and different from Ifeanyi Ubah that is owing. In fact you cannot touch one kobo of Ifeanyi Ubah's money to pay the debt owed by Capital Oil, it is Capital oil that will pay. That is why billionaires keep getting richer, they know the law and how to evade it.

Yes you are right, but if such clause is abused to steal and launder funds, the veil of incorporation can be lifted... Proper investigation should determine the lapses and justice served...

it's a public liability company (Plc), plc company is a legal entity. The assets of a plc entity is separate from its founder. The founder can only be asked to pay back from its personal account if the said debt can be traceable to him other than the company.
