Wait o! Is it rate as at when you submitted your application or when you do your biometrics? There are really differing views here.

It's the rate on the day you submit the application online.

1) school for masters btw 9-12k

2) their initial deposit...(1k initial deposit)

3)do dey ask for school fees before enrollment...I will prefer schools that does not

Please I really need help here my pple. Tanks.
Even those already in their various schools shud let me know how is done in terms enrollment. Thank u all

Hi, schools that will require such might rank low on the rank system and that will be an armor lost for whence you start looking for job here in UK.

I think I know your shoe size (figuratively). What you should look for is schools that offer a 2yrs masters program that way, you get time to pay off.

Off the context here, you once sent me a dm, I wrote you back, but you never replied.

I gained admission into Birmingham City University, and when I want to make my payment for school fee, the agent said I have to pay through him, but what I want to know is if I can pay it myself so that it will be less for me, paying through the agent is a bit high

It’s usually done online but dates are far (so I’ve heard)
Since you’re in Abuja, I’ll suggest you go to their office and book manually… there is no time to waste
Good day. smiley I'm also in Abuja and would like to try my luck tomorrow morning by going to their office.

Am I making payment for the test immediately, let's say I get a date OR, I'm making payment on the day I'm to do the test? This is for manual booking.

Thank you. smiley

Good day everyone, please we need a few clarifications.
My sister will be applying for UK student visa but the account is in her maiden name while International passport and all other correspondence is in her married name. I was of the opinion that newspaper publication and affidavit for change of name to cover the fact that same person bears both name should suffice. However, she reached out to me to say the agent from the school in Sunderland says account name must be in her application name(married name) to get visa.
Has anyone experienced this and what did you do? Please advise so we can know next step as i know it takes those banks ages to even change name on account oh (even me sef…..over 1 year that I requested for such in GTB, change of name is yet to reflect on my account)

She should go to the bank with affidavit, marriage certificate, newspaper publication and change the name first on her bvn, then she should ask them to effect changes on her account
+ I.d carrying the new name
.. I think it takes 2 to 3 days.

Good evening house. Please I applied for international passport for my kids and I today. (DIY) I used their father's surname while I used mine (though legally married). The officer refused to clear my kids starting I'm suppose to back the application with our marriage certificate ( which I didn't go with) and he frowned at the fact that I didn't include my husband's name. He even advised I pay again and start afresh thereby including my husband's name... Told me how it may pose a threat should we decide to travel as a family or should I decide to travel alone with my kids. I got confused and even left him with the files, promising to come back tomorrow with a decision of wether to start afresh or continue with the application. Please I'm so disturbed and still confused. Please advice please

For gtbank, my name change reflected in about an hour cos I already changed my Bvn name in Access bank first. You need newspaper publication, Marriage certificate, affidavit and Id in your new name and utility bill. It should be done in few days.

If you are running your bank statements, pls use 620 and above. Don't follow what some people are saying that you can use Oanda rate for the day you started running your statement. It is false. UKVI will use Oanda rate for the day you do biometrics. More so, it is not compulsory your opening balance matches your closing balance in as much you don't spend beyond your required funds.

You are also wrong.

No! You are fine wether you add to it or not.

Let me state this here cos I see a lot around conversion rate. When you set aside money for 28 days. Go to OANDA and print your conversion rate.

Back in 2013, when I applied, the money I set aside for 28 days didn't cut it by the 28th day. Exchange rate had taken off a bit out of it. There was no time to do another round. So what I did was to print the OANDA rate on the day I set aside the funds. It was clearly the requires amount.

The officials are not unreasonable people. I think it was 2017 that exchange rate pulmet to unthinkable levels, I gave this hack to someone and he got his visa like I did.

No matter how much buffer you have, if the Naira goes on free fall, it won't cut it. Hence, what's most important is the currency equivalence on the first day you start counting your 28 days. Ensure it is what is required.

The bolded is ALL SHADES OF WRONG...

Don’t mind them, absolutely not true . They have a birth certificate right ? And on their birth Cert , your passport name is the name on mother’s column right ? Get your marriage certificate and ask their dad to write a consent letter for them to get a passport from the office . Some men are misogynistic that they feel like the man must cover everything else it won’t work .

He has no right to do that. Your name is your business and none of the government's.

Two things. Apart from the stupid Nigerian patriarchy at play, his statement concerning travelling alone with the children with different last names may occur in the Nigerian context, true, where Immigration can seize on any opportunity to extort you with a threat to refer you to NAPTIP if you refuse to play ball. However, if your children are old enough to identify you as their mother that ceases to be a potential problem. Secondly, Immigration also has the right to refuse to issue your children passports if they feel both parents are not in agreement concerning that (anti-child trafficking measures), so bear that in mind.

Having said those, if you and your husband are in demonstrable agreement on the issuance of passports to your children (your husband must have issued you with a consent letter and a copy of his passport, I presume), do not give in to that foolish officer's primitive sentiments and do what you want done.

Yes. They do have birth certificate and yes my passport name is what's on mother's column. My husband already gave a consent letter, plus every other document needed. Going there again tomorrow with our marriage certificate. Thanks alot. God bless

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I appreciate. My kids are 7 and 2, and yes they can identify me very well. And I have my husband's consent, which he had put into writing along with other supporting documents. I will go again with our marriage certificate tomorrow. Thanks again for lifting my Spirit.
