Girus in the house I just got acceptance letter from CNA Canada on the 24th June and my application is for fall 2021 please is there time frame on the date of application for fall study permit? Can my Visa still be approved for fall 2021 even if it came late? I am confused I want to summit my documents before 25th July..if I apply for Visa for fall 2022 in July is there hope it will be approved? Please I need ur contribute

I suggest you defer. The chances you get a decision before resumption is slim. IRCC only guaranteed response by August 7th for those who submitted by May 15th

Order for it, your application is past the processing time. Once you order for GCMS it will show all the process that have been done on your profile and may even force them to pick it up again when they realise it is upto 3 months [/quote

Thank you SuomyNona, I will order for it.

I am also going to UofA. What program are you going for? And how much is your tuition? Because from what I am seeing from other people's post here....UofA tuition isn't that expensive. As for your chances of receiving a positive response....I am not sure someone here can categorically tell you when you will receive a response but to increase your chances, submit your application with MBS of at least 30kCAD, IELTS and upfront medical.

This is my opinion tho

I'm doing a Biology major. 27k CAD. I want to start the study permit application now. I hope it's not too late. I was given the Canadian government website to apply. Thanks for your advice.

Are you on Telegram, let's talk. @ConsistentWriter.

The chances are slim of getting a decision before the start of your program according to all what I've read in this forum. it can also be decided before the start of your program because the new duration for study permit according to IRCC is now 7 weeks but they rarely keep up to their words. But, what God cannot do doesn't exist .
I don't think it's advisable to state that in your SOP about the school granting you an opportunity to balance up by January because you're trying to convince them that you have enough funds for your stay in their country . You can also book for upfront medicals to accelerate the response your application because available dates are quite far .
Get knowledgeable people to read your SOP and any other letters because that was what I did .I allowed my uncle proof read and some other family members. There also good people here which can be of help to you too. But don't make the mistake of posting it here as it can be plagiarized at the beginning of the thread you'll see some guidelines of what should be included in an SOP.

Thank you for the advice. Who can I contact here to proofread my statement of purpose?

I also don't understand some things, can you just tell me the process? What are the things I have to do? Like visa, study permit, etc. Just list it out please. What are medicals and where do I do them?

Hypothetically, if I get the study permit and visa but it comes after my school resumption date, can I still attend the school, or do I defer admission?

Thank you. Sorry for the stress and many questions.

He is on facebook. I hate to do something like this which is why i have been cool with him and just asking him about the type of complication the application is going through. But he decided to be like this. Its so unfortunate. Not bothered about the money spent but just bothered about my identity and genuiness to canada authorities.

This agent is definitely not a licensed agent. Tell him you're going to file a police report against him. Why are human beings like this

Thank you very much for your response to my question yesterday. I am very grateful, and I appreciate the kind effort.

The consent letter has been written (still need someone to review though), and I have started on the Statement of Purpose.

I want to know if it's too late to apply for a study permit. What's my chance of receiving a positive response before September? Also, the tuition is quite expensive (UofA), so the school has let us pay 50 percent now and the remaining by January. Should I reflect that in my application and do I also need a cover note from the university for that?

Thank you.
It is not too late to apply. IRCC can be unpredictable; besides, you can defer admission during the processing of your application. You do not need a letter from your school regarding payment of tution fee. Just make a reference to the amount that has been paid in your SOP. Ordinarily payment of tution fee is not an essential requirement for application approval; however, it's good part payment has been made. All in all, reach out to @justmellow for a professional touch to your SOP and your application in it entirety. I am rooting for you. All the best.

Best of Luck

At least, share the UCI number and application number.

Capital Scam is all over this.

What is unprofessional for you to share me my login details? People get mind o.

Honestly.

My brother, pls involved the police. Let him just confirmed if the visa was logged or not. So you will know your next line of action.

I observed your WhatsApp chat with your agent....and I wonder why you are so gentle in chatting with him....this issue is not even a WhatsApp issue. Me that waited for 5 months to get visa approved I know what I passed through during that period.....now imagine a period of 2 years.....I won’t take it likely with the guy at all

The truth is he has no application...the moment you don't have biometric information is as good as not having any details.. nobody will attend to the application....and it will automatically be discarded

Congrats Mofpearl,

Curious to know why you did a reapplication, did you change your program or DLI? My daughter had to do a reapplication and I'm hoping she will get a feedback on time.

Mofpearl:

No I didn't submit NSE request. I think it was a little fast because it's a reapplication for a previously approved visa and it was reviewed at the same embassy.

I'll advise that you compose a detailed ambiguous message showing that you have spoken to a certified Immigration Consultant and you will proceed to take legal actions if he does not give you the following information
UCI number
Application number
GCKey login

I looked at his profile and he looked like some uninformed and unexposed family man who resides in Ibadan and thinks they can use "ogboju" to scam others.

Let him know that you are well informed and state that the consequences of his action will lead to a fine being imposed on him. Tell him that your certified immigration consultant is ready to take legal actions according to the rules governing ICCRC

PS: I know some of these are lies. But if you want to catch a monkey you have to act like one. He's educated and might fear the consequences of his action. He's got a family to fend for. I don't think any responsible family head will risk that.

See ehn, reach out to ircc Nairobi. They are crazy but they are still people like us. Write a compassionate email about the entire situation. Provide important info such as your name, passport ID, and date and attach your international passport. If you need help composing it, send a pm.

NB: Composing the email is the only thing I intend to do.

The Eagle has landed.. PPR guys!
It came in yesterday.

Already differed to January 2022.

2nd application
Applied Dec 28th, 2020

NSE request Jan 4th 2021
I opted out: did nothing and allowed the 30days reply period elapse.

Got an update on the official receipt of application and commencement of processing of application 8th Feb 2021.

My program was to resume 17th May, 2021. Got no response. I lost hope. Started preparing for yet another application for September and hoped to apply to other countries because I definitely had to leave this country.
I dragged my feet rather than differ immediately hence Sept 2021 was filled and had to differ to Jan 2022.

Applied gcms 20th May... silly me, should have done that earlier... ( felt like they abandoned by application until the 3rd party company asked for an update on the application)

Medical request came June 3rd 2021,

Did medicals 17th, June.
Medicals updated: passed 22nd June.

Passport request (PPR) 24th.

I'm currently in lagos what company is most reliable to send documents? Where should it be sent and how much..

Pls help guys... thanks.

Congratulations

As @shupy has said you can contact @just mellow ,@frankrobbn @lekkiboe to help you with SOP and your application in general
Because I'm certain you'll still get to an extent where you have pay for your application fee which one has to be careful with charge back and all other fraudulent things which may lead to 5 years ban

Things you have to do , get documents together.
Medicals you can book for it at either qlife or IOM if you're in Lagos but if you're in Abuja It's IOM that's available there.https://www.nairaland.com/4773130/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/228#75475575
This Link should be able to guide you on the necessary documents although you won't need some like police report, resume and some others.
You can use that as a check list.
Yes I think you can defer admission but it depends on the school and probably next available date.
All the best.

Hello,
Gurus in the house, I have a major concern with regards to proof of funds. I also intend to use the NSE route for my study visa application but my major challenge is with the proof of funds. I have an investment I run with my mum that can conveniently cover the required 30k cad, but I can't generate the MBS cert as its not among the banks listed. What else can I use, Please help. @lekibobo, @frankrobbn1, @justmellow, @uzomachukwu and others your response would be gladly appreciated.
