The plastering of this house will continue today after a short break yesterday.

This house might need to grow higher, we need to get the design above the windows right and the space between window lintel and parapet seems small now. We might add another 2 courses of blocks to this house............

I have a little questions for you about the design. At what point are you going to drop the ceiling hangers and noggins?

Am looking at the psychological impact of the volume on users especially in smaller spaces like lobbies, convenience and maybe bedrooms. One may feel like a prisoner in those spaces.
Am just thinking maybe you and the client have some other ideas.

No, the idea is for a ceiling as high as possible, of what use will it be to raisie all those walls this high and still have low ceilings

My client made it very clear that the ceilings must go as high as possible and I am already working towards that. There shouldn't be any psychological effect of any type, we all attend churches, mosques and other public buildings with very high ceilings. The volume of the room is an attraction on it's own, it has this cooling effect, even now we have no roof.

Parapet framing is nearing completion, iron works in progress already.......

Plastering works planned to speed up today......... more workers arrived yesterday..........

And then we started with the tying of the wall plates with the 6mm iron rods we arranged to tie the roof to the roof beam........

The spacing for purlins are spaced to 14 and half inches, valleys depends on the plan of the carpenters. Please ensure you get an experienced carpenter to do this. I have seen houses where the entire wood work were pulled down and repeated just because the carpenters lacked knowledge of how to do this.
