Hmmm.. You've a point sha. But if only our negotiating team is good, we for at least find one maga. But your point is still valid tho

Just worrying that we're always losing players for free. See welbeck, mustafi ramsey etc
So many players wey we get and we fit maga even if na small to average club, but na dash we dey always dash

It's worrying mehn
Unless you want us to sell our best players. Top clubs don't sell players for profit. The main matter self is that we don't have many top talents that will attract huge fees eg Grealish, McGinn, Mings, Phillips etc are all Aston Villa and can fetch at least 50m each.

I am not against signing Ben White after all it's not my money but, if we can spend 50m for a defender why didn't we pay 35m and get Buendia? Same age and experience plus we needed an AM more.

Arsenal why?

Is Ben White even the best Brighton defender? Except he played for another team, I did not see a ball paying defender on him last season. We have no business signing a defender worsestill for that price..

The whole of last season it was their captain defender I know as top performer.
White is just like Pepe overpriced nobody

It's clear for the blind to see. But I don't want to argue that. We will start targeting those clowns when they can't sign at least a 50m worth AM.

You can imagine our club's or coach's priority na. Isn't the bolded foolishness written all over?

But then, maybe Brighton accepted the 50m in installments spread over a certain duration of years(like Pepe's) unlike Aston villa that might not want that.

But even at that, it's still foolishness to waste 50m on a Cb we never need

Even Pepe to an extent worth the hype a bit. 22goals and 11aasist and among the chief players that carried Lille to 2nd position in French league deserves some little hype.

But what the hell Is White?

I never knew Pepe then I had to search him on YouTube instead

Actually, I knew Pepe during the season he shone. I didn't even know we'll buy him sef, but I noticed that he'll need space to thrive and do his thing which French league surprisingly afforded him. His 22goals and 11 assist was great but I wanted to at least follow him the next season and then "bam", I heard arsenal have bought him. I was indifferent about his purchase sha.

But you see White, I just know him same way I know Cash of Aston villa. Meaning I just know his a Brighton player, SIMPLE!. He's not impressed me few times I watched him at all. But that's not what is paining me sef.
Wetin we wan use another CB do?

I read some people saying it won't be a bad idea if we sell holding and Mari then buy white, but me I see no good idea in that.

For one, one board aren't good negotiators, so we might not even exceed the 50m we paid for White from both combined. Two, those two aren't bad at all and white is not head and shoulders over them. So I don't see the reason why we'll see our two good players for the inclusion of one average player.
This White deal reeks of madness all over and it's just crazy

Had Mari or Holding been Brighton players we would be signing them too. sad

Didn't we pay 27m for Saliba? Simply because he's ours he's no longer wanted. The grass always look greener at the other side.

The assignment I am giving them is to just get a 50m and above worth AM. Or else, na me and them for twitter- Buhari ban or not.

The sad thing about saliba part Is that if he's sent out on loan this coming season again, it means he have spent 3 yrs out of his 5yrs contract just on loans. Meaning wen he comes back, either we'll be looking to sell him out or his signs a new contract again so we won't lose him out for free once he enters his final year of his contract
Either ways we are at loss cos that's massive waste of 27m pounds down the drain

This right here is just emotions, emotions and plenty more emotions that does not in any way represent fact. You saying he would've been one of the key figures under Arteta is just emotions and nothing more. When has Ìwobi been that Key figure u talk about exactly? The same Iwobi that keeps giving poverty attacking stats every season without growing into the big man we all hoped he would become?

The fact is iwobi's output was not top level and is still not impressive even after leaving arsenal. Like someone said, selling Ìwobi for that price was good business as in very good business.

Below is screenshot of Iwobi's output at Arsenal and at Everton; does it look like we miss him? If u think yes, maybe u should think again and check Smith Rowe's stats. That boy for a 20 year old in his debut season playing 22 games has 4 assists and 2 goals, has a better shooting accuracy than Iwobi, has more passes per game than Iwobi and had more impact than Iwobi the veteran at Everton last season.

Aswear Iwobi money na delicious money wey the club chop nicely and clean mouth. tongue

Emotions you say?

I still stand by my comment there and its not emotions. You probably fall into the category of those looking for the Scapegoat of Emirates which he was always easily picked for.

He's the only one that's picked on like this. Old Stephen came, Mustafi too, yet the rave and picking wasn't half of what Iwobi got. And youre saying im emotional??

Everton saw him with less play time so you can't even start to use that to judge this last season too.

There are many players that were shltier and were not even called out. Lets not pretend cos of the stats he had. No one here can tell me that it was cos of stats he was sold. Don't tell me that one bit. And is he now stagnant with his emirates form that you can't even have the chance to see he may improve? Or the history with our past players is so cloudy on this front?

Yes he didn't get in the stats we expected him to get, but he'd have done well under Arteta no doubt!!!

Accepted!! To just run him off like that is what i can't accept. Emirates has seen worse and screamed less. But for Iwobi, its different.

Austria's Florian Grillitsch is a good midfielder. An upgrade on Ceballos and El neny.

I have been noticing him.

Lolz....funny guy.

We called Mustafi out every other day over and over again, we pointed out his uselessness every now and then.....In fact it is Iwobi’s stagnancy that was less discussed until he was sold .

A lot of Nigerian arsenal supporters refused to discuss Iwobi’s stagnancy because he’s “our guy”....but few of us willing to look beyond tye Nigerian connection saw how he's refused to step up and be that guy we could all depend on to make the difference...... we trashed this rich here when he was sold and I don't think I'm ready to go back and forth on that again.

You claim he would've been successful under Arteta ; how that would've happened u refused to explain.

I still maintain the money we received from his sale is delicious and savoring considering we have a certain Smith Rowe betters him on some key stats and doesn't shy away from taking an aim at the post which we all know iwobi fares in that department grin

I think me and you debated about this sometimes ago. Yes, Selling Iwobi was a very very good business but what made it look bad was that there was no replacement. That is the point. About his stat, you have to note that goals and assists do not tell the whole story at times.

And did you just say ESR is better than Iwobi?

Smith Rowe betters him on some key stats which includes have a better shooting accuracy.

Oya what tells the full story? Is his position not about creating chances and if possible burying them? Or is he a shakushaku kinda player?

The fact is Iwobi wasn't doing enough to make us drool over him and make someone like me mias him. His impact was too insignificant to be felt like most Nigerian Arsenal fans are trying to make it sound.
