Whewww guy Nwanne biko why you do u want to complicate your life. I was not going to respond. however I did not want your post to mislead anyone. My guy please read carefully, it says MINIMUM required amount for financial resources

The word MINIMUM in this context means that this amount may differ based on several factors: tuition cost, living expenses based on the city you are going to. For example a student going to study in the city of Opole's amount required for financial resources will be different than a student going to study in the city of Warsaw.

Don't complicate things for yourself and others please.

You might say that it doesn't add up exactly to 5 million Naira but isn't it better safe than sorry. Trust, I know from experience.

The 5 million Naira per say, includes:
* Cost of flight ticket (return)
* Accommodation for 1 year
* Plus yearly allowance of 8412 (This heavily depends on what city you are living in and your lifestyle)
*Tuition for 1 year (Can range from 1000€-14000€ estimate)

Depending also on the accommodation contract that you have which can range from 400/500-1500pln per month (x12 for a year)

So all in all if you were to do an average of things it comes out to about 2.5 million Naira as a minimum for the calculation (with low end tuition fee of 1000€ and 600pln for accommodation)

If that is all that you have to prove for financial capacity then you might or will get rejected. (Don't forget that your program of study may range between 2-6 years so they might want to see if you're capable as well for the following year) They want to see that you have some money above the minimum incase of any emergency which may arise so you're not strapped begging for help.

If you don't want stress and an easy visa journey, you can follow the advice that is given about having a minimum of 5 million Naira for peace of mind.

Though if you feel that you can properly present yourself with the right document of CC limit less than 5mill, then do so and you can tell us how it went later on.

Hmmm the embassy did not say you MUST present traveler cheque na my guy. Thats why they gave other options for meeting the financial requirements. You choose one of them, the one that you have access to.

This question has been asked several times. For the last time let me respond.

Question: If my sponsor is a business man and does not earn a salary what are the supporting documents he must provide?

Answer: If Your sponsor is a business man and not earning a salary he or she will provide the following supporting documentation as proof of funds and sponsorship:

1. CAC registration (optional used to show source of funds)
2. Tax Documents (optional used to show source of funds)
3. Certificate of Credit Card Limit in your sponsor's name (Your sponsor will open a cash backed credit card account in his or her name, fund it and request a certificate of credit card limit.)
4. Letter of Sponsorship or Affidavit of Sponsorship ( Must be signed by your sponsor and notarized by a high court or public notary)
5. Copy of Government Issued ID (Passport, National ID or Voter's ID Card)

Thanks for this. Can you kindly do the one of the salary earners too, and if you can explain how the CC certificate also works.
I really appreciate all your efforts

Answer: If Your sponsor is earning a salary he or she will provide the following supporting documentation as proof of funds and sponsorship:

1. 3 months recent payslips ( I suggest minimum of 550k net a month and up)
2. Confirmation Letter of Employment
4. Letter of Sponsorship or Affidavit of Sponsorship ( Must be signed by your sponsor and notarized by a high court or public notary)
5. Copy of Government Issued ID (Passport, National ID or Voter's ID Card)

They have options.

Question : How can I obtain a credit card Limit Certificate?

Answer: Go to any of the major banks and ask for bank manager. Tell them you need a cash backed credit card . Basically it’s like a secured naira credit card . Meaning you will use your own funds to fund it as collateral ok. In this case the bank will put a lien on some of the money . For example let’s say you need a cash backed credit card for 5m. You will need to fund the card with about 6m because out of this 6m the bank will hold between 10-20% of it as collateral meaning they will put a lien on that 10-20% of the amount you are funding your credit card with.
Once you fund the credit card account you can then request for a certificate/confirmation of credit card limit. Some banks take between 5-7 days to issue this certificate/confirmation of credit card limit.
This certificate is what you need to submit to the polish embassy as proof of funds.

Banks I would recommend: First Bank, Access Bank, GTB, UBA, Fidelity, Stanbic

Basically if you explain this to any of the major banks they should understand. If they do not pm me and I will refer you to a banker at one of the major banks who is familiar with the process.

Question: What is the minimum amount that should be in the credit card ?

Answer: To get the minimum amount you need to fund your credit card, add up your tuition cost for a year + accommodation cost for a year + living expenses (food and transportation cost) for a year + flight cost. The total of this should be the minimum amount you should fund the credit card account with. I recommend a minimum of 5m or more. The more the better.

Guys . It’s time we start thinking about this Poland embassy thing seriously .
I am already mentally touched . It is stressful.
Please guys I want to take a next step and I need advice and contributions from all.
I wanted to go in for a 2 year masters program in Poland , and later settle there . But looking at the situation, I am thinking of going to the Netherlands, but looking at the price there , I want to do a 1 year masters program in Netherlands.
My question is , what are the chances of me succeeding and having a job in the Netherlands ? Are there jobs there ? Are they foreigner friendly? What are my chances to back a job in 1 year and apply for permit after graduation?
Re: Polish Student Visa by blessednendowed: 9:35pm On Jun 26, 2021
Question: What if I am self sponsored, How can I show proof of funds ?

Answer: In my analysis, you have 3 options to show proof of funds for self sponsorship.

1. If you the applicant are a salary earner and want to self sponsor, you need to present to the embassy the following:
a) 3 most recent payslips (550k Net a month or more)
b) Confirmation letter of employment
c) Letter approving a paid leave of absence for study from your employer.
d) proof that your job will still be available upon your return to Nigeria and proof that you will continue to earn a salary while you are away for studies (these can be addressed in c )

OR

2. Open a cash backed credit card account in your name, fund it with a minimum of 5m or more. Request a certificate of credit card limit. In addition to that , Get a sponsor to write, sign and notarize a letter of sponsorship stating that they funded your credit card with the requirement amount maybe as a gift or something to that nature. (In this case u are still attaching yourself to a sponsor somehow)

OR

3. You can also do option 1 and also fund a credit card account in your name and request the certificate of credit card limit in your name.

Please note: I DO NOT recommend self sponsorship (read my previous posts I have already explained why I do not recommend it in one of my posts) but if you must do self sponsorship then I will recommend option 2.

Answer: The certificate of credit card limit should preferably be in your sponsors name if you have a sponsor. Your sponsor would also have to provide you with a signed and notarized letter of sponsorship. If you would like the CC to be in your name, make sure that in the letter of sponsorship that your sponsor provides to you, he or she should state that he funded your credit card with such amount maybe as a gift or something of that nature.

Question: Can I apply for visa before legalization of my documents?

Answer: If the university you are applying to grants you admission and provides you with the documents you need from them for visa without requiring you to legalize your school documents first then yes you can proceed to apply for visa and then legalize later. But remember you must legalize your school documents before you go to Poland.

Question: How can I get a legalization date ?

Answer: Please visit this e-konsulat site every Friday between 8am to 1pm nigerian time. On every given friday during that time period, Keep refreshing this site every 2-5 minutes, solve the captcha and keep refreshing until you are able to secure a date. If you are not successful on a given friday, try the next friday until you get a legalization date.

With the second option would the Sponsor still be required to provide a payslip?

Also if I claim to have a sponsor would that mean the name on the cash back account / credit card would be the name of the sponsor?

The person needs a signed and notarised sponsorship letter regardless of who's name the CC limit is in or if the sponsor is going through payslip route.
