Oke, sorry about that.
We battled something similar to this on my baby's neck and buttock from 3weeks old and the thing is just clearing off now at 3months.
I used tribotan baby, sudocream(still using it) and along the line I cooked hibiscus leaves and use the water to bath him for three days.
It was the hibiscus that stopped the rashes. If you can get hibiscus leaves, fine if not get sudocream for him.

Igbo's traditinally too. And some plant a fruit on the site. But where will one bury in this Lagos?

I read online about burning to ashes and then disposing the ash in whatever way. That's if you aren't leaving it for the hospital to dispose.

The best option is to bury it, and that's what we have been doing from day one. And I never knew it's kind of traditional something. I am not a yoruba or Igbo.
Pls no one should give it to the hospital, do it yourself, like hubby family member. Don't you know there are bad people out there? Placenta is something so delicate

My two scans was just 3days apart, one gave me may 28 while the other gave me 1st of june. But the two dates passed without any sign of labor. When I discussed with the matron about it she checked my file and said everything is normal so, she will not induce me that I should allow labor to come naturally.

I was so worried about the whole thing but my husband won't agree with my suggestions. I even suggest that I should take my file to big hospitals like Asokoro or Wuse but no he was ready to wait.

At exactly two weeks which is 14th June I started feeling somehow but I was not taking it seriously but as I went to pee I saw mucus plug, I just said Alhamdulilah the waiting will be over today but no I was in labor for complete five days before I finally delivered. It was not easy since Tuesday 14th till 16th of June my labor was stagnant at 4cm no progress at all.

I trekked like my life depend on it but still nothing. The worst part is that if the contraction is 3mins apart before leaving the house once I entered the hospital the contraction will disappear and I won't feel any pain again.

I told my husband that maybe God didn't want me to deliver in this hospital because I delivered my first two at home without any complications and their labor was very fast, so I don't understand this one but my husband won't have any of that.

My mother in law kept assuring him that the baby is still swimming that is why he's not out yet, that when the time comes I will deliver.

She even said some labor take as long as five days and whatever she said is what sticks to my husband mind. I became depressed and seriously worried because I had nobody but God. I am an orphan and my elder sister is inexperienced she kept asking me to keep praying and she's supporting me with prayer as well.

Since there's nothing I can do on my own I started praying both night and day. I will be praying and weeping at the same time.

Reaching on Saturday morning again I started feeling pain again but I noticed the color of the mucus has changed to dark yellow. I quickly ran to phc and complain about the changes, when the matron checked me, he shook his head and said he wants to check baby's heartbeat. After all the checking he said my baby was already weak that he's going to refer me to Asokoro.

He said I should agree with any decisions they make because as it is my baby is already in distress. I just told him that Allah is my only hope and I depend on him alone.

We headed to asokoro that morning. Immediately I stepped down from the car I noticed that my contractions were coming back to back non stop even before they attend to us. One of the three doctors that attended to me said they should book me for emergency cs base on the information in the referrer letter but the other two said they should check me first and the baby as well since it's not my first time.
I was checked and my baby heart beat was checked as well. They said the baby's breathing was very good and that I will be allowed to labor for 4 hours if the labor is still not progressing then i will be operated on but I was already contracting seriously.

When I was checked 3 hours later I was already 6cm. Then now fixed drip for me to hasten the labor Kai I nearly died from the effect. After every ups and down I finally delivered at 7:57pm. Alhamdulilah Robil alahmeen.

I pray to God that no pregnant woman will experience any difficulties or delays in their delivery by God grace. May Allah put all our enemies to shame and may we be full of praise and Thanksgiving all the days of our life. Aameen.
Alhamdulillah once again.

My regards
Mama please discontinue the use of tribotan since the rash has gone.I heard from a group that it's for treatment not to be used as cream. Have been bathing my baby too with red flower I add little to his water every morning and his body is rash free

When I got home I didn't want to inform my husband at first because he has been behaving like someone under a spell but I can't do it alone, I had no money nor family members around me so I finally told him but I was surprised when he didn't call his mother to update her or maybe he later called her when I was not there. I don't know

BS! BS!! BS!!!

LONG POST ALERT

After our wedding in December 2019, DH and I decided to wait for about a year before having a child. We didn’t use any contraceptive but we were doing withdrawal and calendar method to prevent pregnancy.

In first week of September 2020, I took ill with symptoms of malaria. That period was a very busy time for me at the office and I could not afforded to be sick so I quickly took anti malaria medicine (Amatem). After taking it for 3 days and I still didn’t feel better, I decided to take antibiotics with the mindset that it could be typhoid fever, meanwhile, my period was to start by weekend. I completed my dose on Saturday and my period did not show up, I just thought it was delayed because of the drugs I had taken which has never happened tho. It was after waiting for a week that I realized that I could be pregnant. At that point I decided not to take any medication again until I do a pregnancy test. I had a very busy work schedule that period and was not able to do the home pregnancy test until after 3 week and a BFP was there staring at me. I had mixed feelings firstly because the baby had come earlier than planned, secondly because I had taken medications that shouldn’t be taken in first trimester but I was happy tho because I knew it was God’s plan.

I was still feeling sick so I finally decided to go to the hospital, I was 10 weeks then. The doctor recommended malaria and PT test for me and they both came out positive. Even after the test at the hospital I still did not come to terms with the fact that I was pregnant until I did my scan the next week and saw my LO dancing in my tummy.

First trimester wasn’t really easy, work was crazy, I had to travel almost every week to different states while battling with nausea and vomiting. I also started having meat and tea aversion which continued till delivery.

In the second trimester, the nausea and vomiting continued for the first three weeks before it finally stopped. Towards the end of the trimester, I started having pelvic pains especially when I want to stand up.

By the third trimester, the pain increased and changing position in bed was not easy at all. My feet were swollen and my hands were bigger too because my wedding ring could no longer fit into my finger.

Throughout the pregnancy, I always knew I was going to deliver on my EDD because of how accurate it was. My LMP, first scan (11 weeks), second scan (26 weeks) and third scan (36 weeks) all said that my EDD was 25th May.

On 24th May around 4am, I started having irregular contractions and was unable to sleep from that time. By morning, I went out early and on my way back I decided to stop by at the hospital to be checked since the contractions became more regular. The doctor confirmed that I was actually contracting but after performing a VE, I wasn’t dilated at all. I was asked to go home and return if there is a bloody show, mucus plug or my water breaks and that I should walk around the house.

When I got home, I decided not to rest until I hit 10,000 steps (the highest had been 6,000 since I became pregnant). After that, I decided to poop around 11pm because I heard stories of people pooping while pushing and I didn’t want that to happen to me. I noticed a bloody show when I wiped, that was when I smiled and told myself that it was finally time. We started preparing to leave for the hospital and by past 12 midnight on May 25th we left the house.

On getting to the hospital, I was examined and still no dilation even with the regular contractions. The doctor decided to admit and induce me by morning. By 5am, I was taken to the labor ward, VE was done and I was finally 2cm dilated. Misoprostol was then inserted into my cervix and I returned to my room. The contractions were still coming but not so painful tho. Around past 12 noon, my water broke spontaneously just when the misoprostol dose was about to be increased. I was taken to the labor ward and that was when the pain increased although holding my husband made me feel much better. The nurses kept checking how dilated I was as well as LO’s heart rate while I was contracting, it was quite inconvenient but the nurses were nice so they also helped to ease the pain by rubbing my back.

I was 3cm dilated when I was taken to the labor ward after my water broke, 1 hour later, it was 7cm. At that point, I started asking for epidural but was told that I had come to far already. I had to bear the pains till I was finally 10cm and ready to push. I was asked to push when the contractions come and by my third push, my little princess came flying out and immediately all the other pains were gone. I had serious tears as I wasn’t given episiotomy.

It’s 1 month already and the 4th trimester has not been funny but I bless God’s name because of the beautiful gift He gave me. I’m grateful to God for a smooth pregnancy journey and an easy delivery too.

I wish all the waddling mamas a safe delivery and I pray that all TTCs will testify soon.

I will be back in 2023 with my blue jet.

Tinudesi:

Mama please discontinue the use of tribotan since the rash has gone.I heard from a group that it's for treatment not to be used as cream. Have been bathing my baby too with red flower I add little to his water every morning and his body is rash free
I have stopped the tribotan since, but we still use sudocream.
So, are you talking about sudocream?
