Please can one use a sponsor who lives in America and works with FEDEX?

Minor edit:

The person needs a signed and notarised sponsorship letter regardless of who's name the CC limit is in or if the sponsor is going through payslip route.

Thanks @Maxiout that was a typo on my part. I have made the correction. I have discussed payslips in a previous post. I should have put this specific post this way :

Question: If I have a sponsor that wants to do credit card certificate should the certificate of credit card limit be in my name or the sponsors name?

Answer: The certificate of credit card limit should preferably be in your sponsors name if you have a sponsor. Your sponsor would also have to provide you with a signed and notarized letter of sponsorship. If you would like the CC to be in your name, make sure that in the letter of sponsorship that your sponsor provides to you, he or she should state that he funded your credit card with such amount maybe as a gift or something of that nature.

I advise not to use a foreign based sponsor.
Try to get a sponsor who is based in Nigeria

Question: If my sponsor is a salary earner what are the supporting documents he must provide?

Answer: If Your sponsor is earning a salary he or she will provide the following supporting documentation as proof of funds and sponsorship:

1. 3 months recent payslips ( I suggest minimum of 550k net a month and up)
2. Confirmation Letter of Employment
4. Letter of Sponsorship or Affidavit of Sponsorship ( Must be signed by your sponsor and notarized by a high court or public notary)
5. Copy of Government Issued ID (Passport, National ID or Voter's ID Card)

Please note: Salary earners can also fund a credit card and provide a certificate of credit card limit as well in addition to the above or the may decide only to provide the credit card limit certificate by itself as proof of funds or they may decide to just provide the above payslips and confirmation letter of employment. They have options.

You can NO longer legalize on the same day as visa appointment. We have said this many times.
You have to book a separate date for legalization please

I sent you a PM boss.

Question : How can I obtain a credit card Limit Certificate?

Answer: Go to any of the major banks and ask for bank manager. Tell them you need a cash backed credit card . Basically it’s like a secured naira credit card . Meaning you will use your own funds to fund it as collateral ok. In this case the bank will put a lien on some of the money . For example let’s say you need a cash backed credit card for 5m. You will need to fund the card with about 6m because out of this 6m the bank will hold between 10-20% of it as collateral meaning they will put a lien on that 10-20% of the amount you are funding your credit card with.
Once you fund the credit card account you can then request for a certificate/confirmation of credit card limit. Some banks take between 5-7 days to issue this certificate/confirmation of credit card limit.
This certificate is what you need to submit to the polish embassy as proof of funds.

Banks I would recommend: First Bank, Access Bank, GTB, UBA, Fidelity, Stanbic

Basically if you explain this to any of the major banks they should understand. If they do not pm me and I will refer you to a banker at one of the major banks who is familiar with the process.

Question: What is the minimum amount that should be in the credit card ?

Answer: To get the minimum amount you need to fund your credit card, add up your tuition cost for a year + accommodation cost for a year + living expenses (food and transportation cost) for a year + flight cost. The total of this should be the minimum amount you should fund the credit card account with. I recommend a minimum of 5m or more. The more the better.
Re: Polish Student Visa by cydophobia(m): 7:46am On Jun 27, 2021
Alright.

blessednendowed:
Question: What if I am self sponsored, How can I show proof of funds ?

Answer: In my analysis, you have 3 options to show proof of funds for self sponsorship.

1. If you the applicant are a salary earner and want to self sponsor, you need to present to the embassy the following:
a) 3 most recent payslips (550k Net a month or more)
b) Confirmation letter of employment
c) Letter approving a paid leave of absence for study from your employer.
d) proof that your job will still be available upon your return to Nigeria and proof that you will continue to earn a salary while you are away for studies (these can be addressed in c )

OR

2. Open a cash backed credit card account in your name, fund it with a minimum of 5m or more. Request a certificate of credit card limit. In addition to that , Get a sponsor to write, sign and notarize a letter of sponsorship stating that they funded your credit card with the requirement amount maybe as a gift or something to that nature. (In this case u are still attaching yourself to a sponsor somehow)

OR

3. You can also do option 1 and also fund a credit card account in your name and request the certificate of credit card limit in your name.

Please note: I DO NOT recommend self sponsorship (read my previous posts I have already explained why I do not recommend it in one of my posts) but if you must do self sponsorship then I will recommend option 2.

Perhaps it’s harder for the polish embassy to check how much the person has in a foreign bank.

Honestly, you can use a foreign sponsor but I would advise your sponsor should have account in a Nigerian bank and request for CC limit as that would be much easier to prove.

This happened to me, my sponsor works in France and we had use a bank in France and Employment letter (though not original so was a problem) and payslips but still rejection. Once we then used CC limit in a Nigerian bank I was given a visa.

This is my experience. Just always make sure you have the right documents for easier process.

I sent an email to the school but got no response and its not written on their website.
A response will be really appreciated
If your'e going to study Nursing, you can apply to Medical university of Gdansk, they are very helpful and responsive. and their tuition is lesser than that of silesia,

Did you get the visa recently? How much do you have in cc?

I got the Visa in May of this year. First rejection applied with CC limit of 10,000$ (about 4 million Naira)

This may not have been enough for me, since my degree is medicine so applied later on with about 20 million Naira after advise from a Nigerian classmate and it worked for me.

This worked for me but I am not advising it to be the norm or anything.
This is just taking into consideration of my:
* Degree -Medicine
* Duration - 6 years
* High tuition fee
* High rent

So I had to have way above average.

I would advise you stick to the 5 million as a minimum and go upward from that if feasible. Don't forget to also calculate your own cost so that you're covered.
