just went through it. Nice
Continue please..

But 320+ and no admission? Damnn..
If it's here in the North, all nothern big schools will give a first class treatment.

I'm talking about schools like A.b.u B.u.k just name it..
.not entirely true..I applied to a northern federal uni in one of my jamb with a score of 313 and wasn't given medicine.in fact, wasn't given any course..I knew d mistake I made, corrected it and gained admission d following year in same school, same course and with a lower jamb score..
Something must have gone wrong along the way for a person with jamb score of 320+ not to b given admission into his applied course..u cant tell me the whole 250+ candidates that were admitted into medicine that year in that particular school got above 320

I had 284 in jamb ,which University is most likely for me to enter ,advice please,I am considering unimaid and ABU but security is my main fear
Please don't think the north because of it is "North" makes it less difficult than the South. The north have Catchment areas and I doubt you are from there except if you're from the North Central. You need a good mark as an outsider and I mean a good mark. The north isn't safe and na only the living study Medicine.
School environments are relatively peaceful though. I have a friend in Kaduna State University and the Other in MAUTECH and they claim 90-99% safety in School environments.
Is the South even safe? gringrin. Only Baba God guarantees safety.
You can choose Uniport. Aside the nonsense that took place there last year Screening, Uniport is Transparent. Goodluck

can anyone pls recommend a state university in the southwest to study medicine with a very fast academic calendar?

Osun state university has a fast academic calendar but MBBS is expensive there.

Firstly, try to erase last year's result. It's gone already.

Generally, this year jamb result is low. But nevertheless, don't risk mbbs with 263. Change to Dentistry (BDS) in Oau. Prepare well for the post utme and pray, you'll get in.

Last year's cut off for mbbs was 80.3; dentistry 71 (or thereabouts). From the look of things, it'll likely reduce by 4-5 marks. Meaning dentistry shouldn't be more than, at most, 67.

Good luck!

Yessir they do, then proceed on to NYSC just like med docs. That's why they are both registered by the same council, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

@lagusta, I guess ur guys system is kinda different from ours then. Here in lasuth in 200L and 300L we do anatomy, biochem and physio wif a little of community health, then write out 1st MB in 300L.

We then begin junior posting in Med and surg, then anaesthesia. Pathology and pharmacology follows. After which we write our 2nd MB.

In 500L we do psychiatry, paediatrics and then O&G. After ward 3rd MB, then elective.

600L begins with intermediate posting comprising of all that. Then comm health posting and then senior posting. Finally 4th MB of med, surg and comm health.
pls what is your advice for a medical student that score 180+ in his jamb?
