debabaz: Yes, you can apply for your upfront medical. Book an appointment at either Q-Life or IOM. Best of luck. |

How do I go about opening a GIC account for my student permit, I am currently in Nigeria. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by may99(f): 3:55pm On Jun 28, 2021 |
debabaz: Yeah you can. Doing your medicals helps you save time. For instance, if you get a medical request, it may take you an entire month or more to get a date, get the results, and then get PPR request from the embassy. So it is best to get medicals upfront if you don’t have much time. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by RAdedolapo: 3:55pm On Jun 28, 2021 |
Hi, People.. Yes, you can go ahead and do your medical examination. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by may99(f): 3:59pm On Jun 28, 2021 |
Hi, People.. I don’t think a lot of May ppl have gotten updates. IRCC is still addressing February, March, and April applications. Though I’ve seen some May applicants get PPR but they are usually reapplications, not first timers. I believe in July, they will also attend to May applicants that met the May 15 deadline. I envision a rain of PPR in July and early August 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by may99(f): 4:19pm On Jun 28, 2021 |
debabaz:There are only two approved organizations for Medicals. Iom and Qlife. Iom has two branches, one in Abuja and the other at Ikeja GRA in Lagos. Price 46,500 Qlife only has one branch at VI in Lagos. Price 40,000 Appointment and payment must be done before the d-day. I don’t have links for the clinics but I’m sure if you Google them well you will find a suitable website to book the appointment |

velii: Most banks have a $100 dollar limit that prevents ppl from using their debit cards to pay for international transactions. You may have to ask a third party to pay for you. A responsible friend/family member abroad could pay for you. I would advise that you exercise caution while doing this because it has lead to a 5-year ban for many on this platform. Or u could use some websites like Flutterwave etc... to get it done. Personally, I have a domiciliary Atm card that I used to make the payment. If you have one or know anyone that does, please use it. 1 Like |
