Re: Pwc Graduate Recruitment 2021 by Nobody: 8:06am On Jun 29, 2021 |
My personal opinion on the first part of the interview. Whatever knowledge you think you already have is enough. Stop trying to scavenge for topics.... and I mean that because it is what it is REFUSE. There's a small chance that you'll be given a topic that's already been dropped here or even in the previous years. I personally won't have been ready for my topic even if I had done research on the previous topics. I think it's better to give your little opinion on the impromptu speech and be able to answer the questions thrown at you in the second part of the interview than giving a thesis presentation in the first part and rambling through the second part. You went to school, you will definitely be able to say something even if it's not much. I was told during mine" It's just an impromptu speech, you do not need to think much about it". That's not to say you shouldn't prepare. Who knows, some strong spirit or whatever you believe in could reveal your topic to you. If you want to know what my topic was, hail me if you can't hail me please don't fight me, just move on because no matter what you say, me I wouldn't leave this thread. And again this is my personal opinion/ experience. 4 Likes |

For the second part, I was asked to introduce myself.... I think whatever you say here can greatly influence or dictate the tone of your interview ( it did for me) because I would say half of the entire questions came from what I said here. I had a lot of follow up questions from what I said about my self maybe that's because what I said was not on my CV. I was also asked some questions from my CV. Know your CV well. You will be asked behavioural or situational questions as people have said earlier. Some of the things I was asked - Tell us about a time you had a view different from your team members - How do you work in a team - A difficult situation you have been in and how you managed it I was asked my preferred line of service. For the situational questions, you can be given a situation and asked what you'll do so that's totally you but you of course do not want to present yourself as a bad person. I think I had follow up questions from the answers I gave. That's as much as I can remember. I wish everyone all the best. 2 Likes |

Soar19:I agree with you. I had my interview yesterday too. Despite trying to form some lie ahead, all I could say during the interview was the truth about myself. They made it more like a chat and it really helped. I wasn't even able to say a lot during the impromptu discussion but I felt good at the end. It's an experience I appreciate and I'm hoping for the best. |

I hope no one has shared my experience during behavioural, I don't want a situation where when I am telling them my story they will be like "we have heard this gist before" 7 Likes 2 Shares |
