When I checked, Ronaldo had about 30 goals from 25 yards+, Messi had 21.
30 isn't "few".
And that means around 50 of Messi's "long-range" goals are within 18-25 yards. Not that anything is wrong with that.
Messi has more outside-the-box goals, everyone knows that. But for me, choosing a further distance from the goal post makes more sense in determining who is truly the better "long-range" scorer.
