For the proof of funds section, I had so many doubts because I wasn’t sure if I established my sponsor well. My dad retired 7 years ago and my mom is a business woman. My family agreed to use my mom as the primary sponsor. The issue lied with the type of business my mom did. She was into farming and wholesale distribution of agricultural products and services. I had no idea of how to use her as a sponsor because she registered her CAC in 1992 but she never incorporated it. Her trade was very informal and there were few documents to submit. I almost employed the services of an agent for advice on her profile as I didn’t know what to do. I am dropping this here because I saw someone ask a question on this earlier and I hope this helps.

1. I told her to pay for personal tax to state government SIRS. I abandoned her CAC documents which required FIRS and incorporation.
2. I asked her to provide invoices of her business transactions. I used some from last year and earlier this year.
3. I dropped 6 months MBS of her transaction account. (CIC didn’t ask for 1 year in the NSE request, so i didn’t bother dropping it. I figured 6 months of her account was overwhelming as she performs daily transactions and her 6mth statement was already going to 100 pages.
4. I made sure her letter explained what she does and how much she was going to use to sponsor my education. She also stated that I was her only dependent and that her and my father were going to cover all expenses.
5. I dropped documents for all her assets and some of my fathers assets. I didn’t have time to do a price evaluation of property so I only dropped Survey Plans and Approved Plans. I didn’t drop tenancy agreements.
6. I was very truthful.

I don’t think you can pay with naira oh.. it has to be from a dollar account in your name... as for the deadline expiring, if it does, just fill out the form again and they will create new details for you to pay with and a new deadline...
And it’s a direct transfer, like you are transferring from one of your accounts to another, it takes about 24hrs or less to reflect if you do the transfer from your bank here before 11...
Queenmama03:
My people! Please I have a question about this CIBC student pay. I took the payment instruction to the bank this week but I'm yet to be debited. However I just received a notification from CIBC that I need to complete the payment by tomorrow. So I'm just wondering if I should ignore since I've already initiated the process at the bank.
I'd appreciate anyone who has an idea on how this works. I'm paying with my naira account. Thanks

Your Letter of Introduction (LOI) will be sent to you after your passport has been stamp at VAC Abuja/Lagos, print it and attach it to the email you’ll be sending to school for LOA reconsideration.

Thank you so much for your response. Please why did you need LOI? Did u use that to support TRV to the school so they can give you a new LOA?

Actually the bank will pay in USD but deduct the naira equivalent from my account (please correct me if I'm wrong). I believe I've come accross persons who have paid with their naira account, I think the only problem with this method is that it takes longer but since I'm not in a hurry I wasn't bothered but its this deadline email that is making me confused.
I guess I'll just do another one and take to the bank on Monday.

Actually you don't need to print another 1. Flywire and western union also have a 3-day deadline for their invoices too. The validity is referring to the exchange rate. The payment is still going to be received. Someone was having the same concern not too long ago. Payment was initiated after validity period of the invoice. Even if your bank reaches out to you concerning the validity, insist they proceed with the payment.

The will deduct the naira equivalent when the bank has locked an official exchange rate for you.
Concerning the expiry date, in my case they processed the payment a day after the expiry date given by CIBC. The next day(Friday) I got debited the naira equivalent . On Thursday I got an acknowledgment mail by CIBC that payment had been received.

In your case, you can visit the bank to know how far with the payment and they will be in the best position to tell you if you need to create another invoice.

For subsequent transactions have the contact of the account officer that would be processing your Form A. It will help in knowing how far they have gone with your transaction.
