bomb24: Ibadan is the 3rd largest city in Africa. Aba on the other hand has been designated as a latrine by the World Economic Forum. Living in Aba is a death sentence. In Aba, they almost declared a public holiday because Chicken Republic opened a store there. 8 Likes |

Don't you guys get tired of this petty and useless comparisons? no city in Nigeria is up to world class standard including Lagos which is massively overrated, na only Abuja even try... I wonder how Ghanaians, South Africans, Rwandans and other Africans who come from countries where cities/towns are far more modern and developed wound feel when they you guys disgrace yourselves with rubbish. |

Broveens42: Ibadan had a TV station before France got one. The WNTV station was established before any TV station in France. Cocoa was the mainstay of the economy at that time. When Awolowo was flying helicopters in the Western Region, Azikiwe was traveling by Bedford lorries. Obafemi Awolowo University was built by the Western Regional government in protest after Azikiwe made an Igbo man the VC of University of Ibadan. The school was built with 100% cocoa money. Go to Carter Bridge and Eko Bridge in Lagos, you will see Igbos pushing wheelbarrow and picking pockets there. Both bridges were built with cocoa money. As at when the West was doing great things with cocoa money, what were Igbos doing? Cocoa House, Obafemi Awolowo University, NTA Ibadan, Western House in Lagos, All the Industrial Estates in Ikeja, etc were built with cocoa money. Kindly show us a single thing Igbos built. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Broveens42: We have the Benin empire, we have the Ife Kingdom, we have the oyo empire, we have the Kanem Borno empire. Mention just one ancient civilisation built by your Igbo fathers. Other people were building legacies and monuments, your fathers were in the village square, fighting for the hands of the village prostitute in marriage. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Prosperchuks1344:Is it about the original thread where Ibadan had blocks of building while Akwa was a jungle area of buildings of bamboo walls and thatched roofings? It was a proof that Yoruba got civilization before it touched you while still jumping from trees to trees. Pls, grow up and clean your tears. cc: wickedtruths, is this thread supposed to be a comeback to the original thread? -erase the dot 8 Likes 1 Share |

Wickedtruths: let me help you our Igbo ukwu artifacts predate ile ife. while our forefathers were carving and forging iron ore and solid minerals into beautiful sculptures your forefathers were still using sand and red mud to mold sculptures depicting your conehead heritage. we had Nri kingdom and Arochukwu kingdom. we had a local clothing line called akwete. Oyo was never an empire but rather a puny kingdom headed by a chief priest beaten blue-black by dahomey female fighters. 2 Likes 1 Share |
