SlimCupid:Morning guys. Please is there anyone who submitted in February still awaiting a decision? My agent advised to hold off on the medicals. Could this be the reason why, for almost 5 months, not a peep from the VO? Anyone? |

IntimidationJay:Yeah, they responded but eventually, the IRCC response was just that they're checking the eligibility requirements. |

Why a visit visa though? And not SOWP? And study visa for kids? Visiting visa has been on hold since onset of COVID and even some approved persons here were advised to withdraw their visit visa application and reapply and we’re all later approved Mami1: 1 Like |

My eligibility review has stayed for 16days now. Has it happened to anyone? I mean without problem like charge back or more documents? |

SlimCupid: The bolded says a lot about your agent. You are not in good hands. However, medicals is not the reason your application hasn't been finalized since you haven't gotten a request. IRCC officers are just negligent. I hope you have access to your account. |

LadyBlaq: I’m not sure this is totally correct. The instruction is to present a negative Covid-19 test result not later than 72hrs before travel. And not 72hrs before travel. I believe yours was almost later than 72hrs (hence will expire by the time you land in Canada) that was why the immigration officer at the MMA was pointing it out to you that your test result will soon expire. The idea is to take the test WITHIN 72hrs before your trip, preferably a day before you travel. “If you're flying to Canada, you must take a test within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your flight to Canada. Airlines will refuse boarding to travellers who are unable to provide a valid molecular test result.” I’m not too sure about the arrival testing, but this is what I got. Taking your arrival test When you enter Canada, you'll be instructed to either take an arrival test at the border, or receive a home test kit. You may also get a kit to use on Day-8 of your mandatory quarantine.” You can read more about it here: https://travel.gc.ca › travel-restrictions https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/flying-canada-checklist/covid-19-testing-travellers-coming-into-canada 2 Likes |

I don't quite understand. Do you mean anyone whose eligibility started and has stayed more than 16days without a decision? If that's is it....then yes...mine is a month already.... My friend's own stayed up to 3months before he received a decision. No 'more documents request, no charge back'. I feel that most of us will receive a decision this July....fingers crossed EmeeNaka: 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by olasubomy: 10:03am On Jul 01, 2021 |
Iffylove: Hi Iffylove, You can try the option of submitting a mybankstatement certificate instead. That one is just a one-page document, and you can submit it for one year transaction period. Except if the bank is not on the mybankstatement platform. Otherwise, that's a better approach. All the best. |
