I'll suggest you send a mail to nmcn, after paying you should get a mail almost immediately that will allow you continue with your application

Please has any one used the online nmcn verification? Is it faster than the paper verification?

Please, we just registered with nmc UK and we are about to pay for the registration fee which of course is more than the monthly $100 limit. So, I have spoken with my bro in the US to assist with the payment but before we go ahead, I'd like to confirm if the change in IP won't cause any issue?

Good Morning NL in Diaspora,

Thanks so much for this thread. It's been so helpful although I couldn't read them all through. I am here for a great concern & would need your experienced advices. Thank you.

I'm married to my wife & it's been 4yrs & we've got a son who's just 3months old. My wife is a RN( She's got BSC in Nursing & immediately after marriage, she proceeded to Nursing school in Jos & acquired another certificate). The fact is she hasn't worked since we got married, it's been schooling & pregnancy in d last couple of years. I've been talking to her about us making plans to leave the country so she can practice in the UK but she hasn't really keyed into my idea because she kept saying she wants to go with her family (Myself & Our son) & wouldn't want to go alone. Now I got no idea if it's possible we can migrate to the UK together as a family or does she have to go first? That's my first question, what type of visa would it be? MUST she write the IELTS? What kind of job experience can I garner to be able to help out when I travel? Although I have started learning graphic designing. Please j would also like anyone to recommend a reputable IELTS Tutor centre in FCT, Abuja because she wants to start learning so she can prepare for the exams.

I'll also appreciate if we can be schooled on the process & how possible it is to bring along our little son.
Thank y'all

To be a uk RN, she must take ielts.

You can get ielts materials to study online or download some YouTube videos..

It's better if she first go to the UK to write th osce exam and settle down before you move to her with the son. Travelling together to the UK is very expensive.

She will get a working visa and you too.
I'm sure you will get much info if you try to read the thread.

Cheers

I am here again. Biko.
So, after paying nmc UK, we then proceed to sending the necessary details to ncmn which I believe is by courier or in person.
Can someone please help me the nmcn address if I was to send the details through courier?
Is there any one who did this or you went in person?

Please for those that used agencies for UK, how many years contracts did you sign? And was work experience required?

For people that used US agencies was work experience required after you passed your NCLEX and IELTS?

Thank you

Good Evening.

Please this question is for those that have studied Nursing in the UK or have little knowledge about life as a Nursing student in the UK.

Please I know that MSc Nursing (Pre-Registration) in UK is quite expensive in terms of Tution. I also hear students are allowed to work 20hrs a week. But my question is

**Can a Nursing student use that 20hrs per week work to pay and complete Tution fees for the 2yrs duration.

**Can the 20hrs per week work cater for Clinical Posting Transport cos I hear that the worst thing is to do Clinicals at a far place where you would be spending so much on transport which can be affecting your finances.
This is compared to other M.Sc programs that doesn't require any sort of travel postings

**Can the 20hrs per week work also cater for Feeding, Accommodation and other daily living expenses?

Thanks

Most of the people here are prospective "abroadians". The shared thread has those already living in the UK.

Hello, I will attempt answering some of your questions. Please space out your sentences properly and use punctuations when typing. It makes for easy reading.

1. Yes, the whole family can go together.

She will be given a Care and Health Visa, which is akin to the Tier 2 Visa.

2. Yes, she needs to pass IELTS for language proficiency. There's nothing difficult in IELTS...Tell her not to overwhelmed by the overt negative remarks in the public domain. A lot of people pass in a sitting.

3. Since you're already learning graphics designing, you can add video production/animation, digital marketing or data analysis. These skills can be monetised online giving you room to help with other things at home whilst making some cash.

4. Got no idea of a training centre in Abuja. But she can attend classes online or even self-teach via free online resources.

5. Your best bet is taking time to read the thread from start to finish. If you can't read the thread thoroughly, then, you're not ready to start the process becausw there will be need to do a lot reading and writing in the main process.

Best wishes.

Nursing in the UK as at five years ago was strictly for people with British passport, EEA/ EU citizens and Asylum seekers. If you're are admitted as a student nurse then, you will be given a monthly busray of six hundred pounds depending on what you filled in your documentation, some were even getting a thousand pounds and you could even be working along side and making more money than you get from NHS busray dept.

I'm not too sure about the changes because previously nursing wasn't for international students on a student visa. It was strictly for those with the above status and you don't pay a penny for tution fees

As per doing 20 hours to complete your tution fees, it won't be easy my dear, you have to do extra hours to complete that and this may impact on your studies because nursing in the UK is more practical based than theory. Give it a trial and it may work for you.

Please be sure that the two years accelerated masters program qualifies you to register as a nurse in the UK without further requirements.

Please this question is for those that have studied Nursing in the UK or have little knowledge about life as a Nursing student in the UK.

Hi guys, I'm trying to gather information here.

1. Is the 3-year RN Nursing program in Nigeria recognized abroad for either/both work and study?

2. If it is recognized abroad, do we have people here who have taken this path to migrate? I would be glad if you can either PM me, or quote me so we can talk more.

3. On a scale of 1 - 10 (easy-fair-tough), how difficult would you rate RN practice abroad?

NB: before you come at me for not using Google, I have. Answers are not consistent. I also want to hear first-hand from those who may have done their RN.
