Dear Gazzuzz,
I changed my car water pump recently to solve draining coolant issues, but my check engine light came on after the repair with P0018 code:
P0018
Crankshaft position
Camshaft Position
Correlation Bank 2
Sensor A
Engine works normal and still start at first attempt, kindly advice on what should be done.

Please can I top up Oil of my Camry 2005 with Hard ex Gold SAE 5W-30 (fully synthetic) before making a complete Oil change which is will be in 3rd week of July. The initial oil that was used (in
month of may) that gets burnt easily is Mobil 5w-20.

Good morning everyone, I recently got a leaked tank in my Ford Focus so I took the car to a mechanic. The mechanic dropped the tank while a welder closed the hole. After everything, I realized the welder had caused the anti-siphon device to melt since it's made of a plastic material. He couldn't remove it before the work.

So right now, I'm not using the device again. But the problem now is that my dashboard is showing the Check Engine Light which came after the repairs. I think this is as a result of the anti-siphon that was removed because the light wasn't there before the repairs.

Now, my question is, apart from the anti-siphon stopping people from taking fuel from my tank, is there something else that it does that may be triggering the engine warning light?

BTW, I've been driving the car with the light for days now and I don't really know how it may impact it in the near future.

Scan the car.
anti-siphon has nothing to do with any of the vehicle codes

Hello Gurus in the house.
I recently changed my engine. The oil used when they did the change was 20w50 Mobil. A week after I changed it to Mobil1 (5w20). I traveled immediately after the oil change leaving the car at home.
As I came back, I checked the oil level it was ok. Though it has turned blackish. The drives well, but I noticed that the overheating problem hasn't been corrected. I have scanned it before and equally scanned it again today. It keeps throwing the same codes.
P1150
P1130
P0171
NB
My mechanic asked me to change the radiator to correct the overheating problem.
Please I need advice on how to move forward.

Please, 2004 Corolla was slow to pick up on initial acceleration; engine may stall when moving from gear 2 to 3. Scan shows P1760: Linear Solenoid for line Pressure Control Circuit Malfunction. Took it to gear technician, he said it isn't gear issue but Mass Air Flow Meter and a coil. Should I change the MAF, or approach another technician?

Okay but isn’t it looking very low compared to other C300 of the same class?

Or what do you feel can be done? Cos I don’t know it seems lower than every other c300 I might have seen

With what I am seeing that thing is very low compare to the others, that car is barely off the ground....I think they should have a higher shock absorber or a way to increase it, the car is a low car normally but lifting it a little should be better....

Sequence of events.

When ignition is on, do you have the light? When you start with engine cool does the light go off?

When driving does the light come on
When engine is hot and engine is idling, do you have the light on?
