Please how do emergency appointment requests work? I need an August interview date. If I request an emergency appointment now, will I be forced to pick a July date? Or I can wait till an August date is available? How long till the emergency appointment permission expires? (If applicable) |

Please in the DS-160 there is 'additional point of contact information'. Can I put in the contact of friends since we are not meant to put the contact of relations? Do they contact the people you put and if yes what questions do they ask them? |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by chigozieduru: 2:22pm On Jul 02, 2021 |
Chyjoey: Hey man, how did you get the MRV fee paid on your behalf? I'm also in the same predicament and want to schedule an appt before getting back to Nig. Thanks man. I think for the emergency appointment, once it has been accepted they give you a calendar which shows interview date(s) that are open/available then you can pick from those dates. Please others can correct me as well. |

chigozieduru: The $160 MRV Fee for F1 Students can be paid at any GTBANK in Nigeria in naira using #420 to $1. Equivalent is #67,200. Your Int'l passport will be required. I hear you can also pay online via their mobile app. 2 Likes |
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Chyjoey(m): 3:15pm On Jul 02, 2021 |
chigozieduru: Just send the scan of the biometric page of your passport to the person, the correct visa category and of course, the fee. The person should be able to go to GTbank and pay it for you. |

VO: Why did you choose to study this course? Me: it is basically born out of interest, growing up in a country that struggles with insecurity issues with different bandit strategies on a daily basis, my interest got boosted with my undergraduate research work on insecurity issues in Nigeria, ‘’A case study of Boko Haram attack in the Northeast and its socio economic implications” with my analysis I found out that over 40000 lives were lost, 3 million persons got displaced, 310,000 persons became refuges, and with my present exposure working in the security firm, this course will make me problem solver by producing strategies, solutions that will be useful to my country security sector. Mercydale143: You do need to take a chill pill. An F2 visa is not an emergency… if anything, you’re simply going to be a burden on scarce resources so you can understand why the embassy won’t be giving you an expedited date when you have F1 visa applicants here who can barely find a date. Also, you are free to “buy a date”… just be expecting to be denied. I wonder why you didn’t just apply with your spouse in the first place. |
