I don’t think they were called up. The coach complained that he can’t compete with bottom string players but he was chided and asked to do his job rather than complain

He didn't coach them either.

It seems u don't no that he is d technical adviser for all our national teams and he also has a mandate to work with local based players to build d super eagles. So why shouldn't he have been there?

If they cannot qualify for a sub regional tournament against west african leagues na international dem wan play.

See the result now

MAke them qualify for WAFU, CHAN , Olympics dem no fit. Dem no fit even win CAF champions league

All the 94 set were local talent bought by foreign clubs and polished b4 joining super eagles
If Rohr was Nigerias coach in 1994, would he have been able to produce and coach d type of team westerhorf produced and coached in his days?

I just think sha that this is a setup against Rohr. It’s like they want to sack him! So they are making home use the local players, & then, they will say he isn’t good! And then sack him.
. He didn't coach them.

Whats wrong with him using home based players? Isnt it Rohr who is setting up d home based eagles to fail so that he will have a reason to always relegate them?
By refusing to coach them.

Rohr as a coach does not know how to manage raw players.

Even the ready-made, he struggles with them.

He knew if he should coach these players, we won't see any difference since he doesn't have anything to give the players.

This particular result will teach both NFF and the crews a big lesson to always respect the person in charge of a team because e get why why he's in charge

Rohr was right all along.
He delegated his job to someone else, this is why the sport minister was against him.

Isn't it in his contract to work with home based players? Didn't he no this before signing d contract? Is it his job to complain? Rohr doesn't have a single passion for his job as nigerias national team coach. Before d last WC, he was also complaining and giving excuses that d players he was taking to d WC weren't good enough because they don't play in Barcelona, real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester city and other top clubs in Europe. And because of this, d team will fail. What type of coach is that?
His own country were defending champions and had players from d best clubs in d world, yet crashed out in d group stage of d WC. There's no coach in d world that has all d type of players he wants. They make do with what they have. But Rohr wants his 22 players be Messi and Ronaldo before he will succeed

He wasn't the one that selected the players. He was not even supposed to be there Aigbogun was the coach

He was supposed to be there, he chose not to be there because he doesn't believe in the boys and since he knows he can't teach them what he does not have.

U got it wrong. He is d technical adviser of d super eagles and all d national teams. It doesn't matter if it's home based or foreign based super eagles, his job is to be on ground and make input to d teams effort. It's in his contract to work with local based players. So how was he right?

Flair without end-product is useless. That's why we always fumble when we meet a more tactical and technical team. We celebrate flair as talent, but there is more to modern football than that.
The purpose of this friendly match is to identify talent suitable for the SE team. I think one or two of those midfielders are worth it.

If this is how Americans talk shit about there country, would you be fantasizing about going there?
Madam before you start blaming him , let's make some comparisons why Americans are so patriotic and Nigerians aren't.

Americans have good and affordable healthcare, power, transportation, high rate of employment and quality educational system amongst Others.... So with a government that has provided everything for it's citizens, the average American will feel patriotic.
I'm not saying the country is perfect but at least they have a working government that actually cares about it's people.

First, Rohr was not even aware of the friendly from start. How do you setup a friendly without the coach being aware.

Secondly, the match is inconsequential. It does not add or subtract to our ranking.

Rohr will never be in charge of the development of local league players. You will never see southgate teying to develop England local players. He willnonly choose those who he feels are the best. If he says there are no good players in the league, that's his opinion. NFF are trying to mandate him to develop the local based and also choose them. That's not his job. His job is to choose.

Our best players are not in the league.

U didn't answer d question I asked:

Is it because they didn't qualify for CHAN that they aren't good enough? When Germany dropped out of d last WC as defending champions in d group stage, where d players good enough or not good enough? Was it d same set of players that were in d WC winning squad that executed d past WC for Germany?

Your point exactly??

Mk dem sack am na, like he's gonna loose anything. Rohr is not our problem abeg, they should stop shifting goalpost and looking for who to blame.

With the while insecurity in the country, you expect the man to come and live here?

The local league is still very dysfunctional, na Rohr go fix am? See what happened to kano pillars on their home ground, not to talk of eyimba players been beaten to a pulp by local fans in this age and time but na Rohr be our problem? CHAN we no fit win, African champions league we hardly qualify again, But na Rohr still be our problem, mtewwww
