Hello guys. During last year Covid-19 lockdown, I was home all through and I decided to learn JavaScript. I then worked on different projects while learning using my Android phone. So I built a game then which I call Olode. Olode is an HTML5 FPS shooting game. Olode which means hunter is a basically all about an hunter shooting at a object in the night. It's night and so you move your headlight left and right to see anything coming and you shoot. Smiles. It's a cool game. Languages: HTML5, JavaScript & CSS. I more like feel that HTML5 is a programming language. (My opinion). Lol. I built this game with an Android Phone so there's no limit to whatever you want to do. I just added some touches to the game using my PC. So guys access the game via https://cerestorm.com/olode/olode.html Cheers! 4 Likes 1 Share

youngscholar: Be definition and basic function, it is a programming language. No CS scholar would argue that, only software developers who try to ignore the basic definition and function would say otherwise. I was having that same discussion with some oversabi here a few days ago. BTW, nice project. Good to know you achieved something tangible during the lockdown, unlike some of us that just stayed at home and fed fat during the lockdown. |

youngscholar:Good work, don't mind the guy above me, HTML is not a programming language, it allow you to structure your page by using tags, programming language have the following features, Data type, function, loop statement, conditional statement, OOP, etc... HTML IS NOT A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE! 1 Like |

Re: Olode - An Indigenous HTML5 Game by youngscholar(m): 12:18pm On Sep 25, 2021 |
Geezer6: Thank you brother. Well, I'm a self taught programmer. I just pick up a project and programming language to learn. I don't really do courses, books or videos like that. I make use of stackoverflow regularly and google search engine to find solutions to anywhere I'm confused. Are you stuck on accessing or calling those functions? You can check my signature for my contact so I can be of help. 1 Like |
